Waste of time
I downloaded the paid version and couldn’t tell if anything had changed. Maps were seriously old looking and lacked detail. Free version is ok for the content but not worth the download. I’ve just used offline version of google maps works a million times better
Could be a good app
It is a pity that the add to purchase the £3.99 version slides in every minute or so, and that you have to remove it. It doesn’t help for the customer experience. In other apps the free version at least let you have a nice smooth experience, although you know that you are missing more because you didn’t pay.

Better off using a search engine
There’s a large collection of data here that, as a traveler, I didn’t find to be particularly relevant. You get quantity over quality and like another reviewer pointed out, it does feel like information has been ripped from Wikipedia articles. It is verbose to the point of highlighting historical climate data, which I’m betting most tourists will find irrelevant, so you have to do some sifting for the info you want, whilst swiping away the full-feature advertisement that slides in to fill the the screen every few minutes or so. I can’t comment on the paid content, but don’t bother with the free version.

I paid 3.99 for the upgraded version and IT NEVER WORKED AT ALL. Every time I opened it it says I had to download again and that would take 10 minutes and then didn’t work anyway. I want my 3.99 BACK!!!!! I tried restore purchases and still NOTHING!!!!!

The reason behind this is for travelers to be able to enjoy everything in an offline mode without paying for roaming charges while they travel. Even being able to use geolocalization capabilities such as GPS or Augmented Reality without being connected to your cell phone provider. Poor attempt at charging for Wikipedia / Wikitravel content
The content of this app is largely restricted unless you pay for the in-app purchase. It seems to be almost 100% copied and pasted from Wikipedia / Wikitravel. Apps like this shouldn’t be allowed on the App Store.
