Very good app to help find what to see on your route
I love the fact that the app is very informative on all the places along the way that helps to decide to visit or not most likely yes but depending on time constraints you can skip. Also the fact you do not need to rely on WiFi is a huge plus. Only drawbacks is that consumes lot of battery energy faster. Bug if keeping on charge that solves the problem.
I wouldn’t go without if you don’t places you are going to visit. I had the Yellowstone and Grand Teton national park app and it is really a huge help in navigating these two.

Parks and More!
We have used GuideAlong for several years. Every time we take a trip to national parks, we find it invaluable and a guide to where to stop for scenic views and attractions and where to skip. It gives us inside information we would have not have learned otherwise. I always recommend it to family and friends. Our favorite saying whenever we are leaving on a trip has become. “looks like we’re ready to go!“

Our trip to the national parks of Yellowstone and grand Teton would not have been as detailed and historical if we did not have this app to help us along. The narrator is absolutely incredible and made it such a memorable experience for our family.

We used this app for our family trip to Yellowstone. It is incredible! Very engaging, informative and held the attention of children ages 4-15! Highly recommend!
Part of Our Family
Our family of 4 (12YO & 9YO) just took an amazing adventure through Glacier NP and then along the Icefields Parkway in Banff/Jasper NPs. These tours quickly became the 5th member of our family during the road trip. The kids loved them. The adults loved them. Can’t wait to bring along on our next adventure. Exceptional value
Saves one person from having to do all the research and not being able to look up from the map! Answers questions just as they are forming in our heads. Just the right amount of detail. A small price to pay to make the experience more enjoyable and educational.

Yellowstone Tour
After one day of wandering around the park, I decided to try this audio guide. We LOVED it. It was so helpful, it was entertaining, at one point I even laughed out loud. Perfect companion and we felt like we got so much more out of our day.
Why didn’t I find this sooner???
I travel for work. A Lot. I love spending some time playing tourist while I am in amazing places. Used GuideAlong during a week in Maui and it was excellent. I love that everything is geotagged and you could tell that the topics were well researched and beta tested before publishing. My only small request would be to have better integration with music. Using Car Play, we found it best to keep Spotify open and set to the lowest volume setting to get the music and guide to about the same volume and prevent the music from stopping and reduce volume instead during the guide. Will definitely be using again.

We downloaded this app and are using it to enjoy the Canadian Rockies. It’s amazing!! Just like having our own personal guide and navigation app all in one. Works beautifully and we’ve done much more because of the app. Worth every penny!
Essential!
We discovered Guide Along on our first Hawaii trip in 2023 and it’s been a game-changer for our family’s national park visits. We used it on Maui (Road to Hana, Haleakala summit), the Big Island (Hawaii Volcanoes), and it’s now the first thing I check when planning any trip. The narration hits the sweet spot of history, culture, and geography without being overwhelming. I’m genuinely disappointed when there’s no tour available for a destination, and even more so when one gets released after we’ve already been there. It’s become an essential part of how we explore new places.

A Must-Have!
We’ve taken two trips in the continental US and into Canada and had “Ed” (what we named our guide since he educates us!) lead us both times. Guide Along is AWESOME and also engages all three of our kids (ages 15, 12, 10 on our latest trip). We love the tips for last-minute stops, comfortable bathrooms, the stories from history, the attention to environmental issues, and the fun. We won’t road trip without it!
