This is a terrible app
Slow app navigation
Elegant and simple
Highly effective tool for bringing communities together to share ideas and conversations, organise events, DM, etc. Much better and much more versatile than Slack, Mighty Networks or WhatsApp.
Can’t create a profile using the app
Reads the clipboard on app load
Endless loop of signup and account confirmation
Response from developer
Sorry to hear you had this problem. It doesn't happen on the web version but we have had others report this on the mobile app occassionally for particular versions of iOS. It is a problem between Firebase (a Google technology we use for deep links) and iOS that occurs sometimes - we hoped that recent versions of iOS would resolve this but clearly not in your case. We will look into alternate solutions.
Shouldn’t have to install an app to unsubscribe to emails
Response from developer
Hi there - you don't need to reinstall the app as you can do it via the web version i.e. change your settings online. But you are right that for our newsletter you can unsubscribe in one click whereas for email notifications from app users these are enabled/disabled within the app as there are various types (@ mentions, message digests etc.). If you didn't want any communications then probably easiest to leave the group(s) you were in or completely delete your Guild account? We can also then work on one-click/tap based unsubscribes for each type of email alert.
Great messaging service
Secure and professional WhatsApp
Professional messaging like it should be
Great app, the privacy aspect is hugely important to me
Very slick and user-friendly
Using for alumni group
A premium feel over other messaging apps
I much prefer it to WhatsApp which is filled with all and sundry, and to LinkedIn messages that can feel rather stilted and one dimensional. The privacy element also makes me feel confident in using the app - it doesn’t upload my address book like WhatsApp or even Amazon Alexa does.
WhatsApp for professionals
Easy to use and install and has been very useful so far.
