Thanks for sharing this, and we're really sorry to hear about your guitar. Just to clarify: CoachTuner only listens through your mic to detect pitch - it doesn't touch your strings mechanically, so it can't cause damage. A string snapping is usually due to it being old, worn, or way out of tune. A great way to check how far from the tuning goal you are is to use the chromatic tuner feature. Great before they ruined it
This app used to work great. You’d boot it up, there’d be a short ad, then just a small ad banner at the bottom of the screen while you got to work tuning.
Now the thing is a stupid subscription service! Completely ruined a good thing!

Time to vibe code a free guitar tuner app. This used to be a great guitar tuning app. I haven’t opened it in a while and now it’s turned into subscription garbage. $8 / week or $50 / year. Looool. Screw that.
Do you know the circle of fifths?
This keeps telling me that the note pairs C and G & E and G are a perfect fifth apart but in reality they are a minor third apart.

It was amazing! I could easily tune my guitar without background noise!🤩🤩🤩 and I loveeeeeeee! How u can learn chords but I wish u didn’t have to sighn up or pay for some of the chords. But over all A.M.A.Z.Z.I.N.G!🤩🤩🤩
Horrible tuning
Reads another note during tuning and makes me struggle more than I should to tune my three guitars. Also everything is locked behind payments and ads. 1 star never using this damn app again.

Premium pass is a joke.
I started a free trial and it immediately took £7.99 out of my account which was so frustrating and then every week after, i was unknowing to the subscription being weekly and assumed it was monthly like every other subscription in the world and unfortunately took the hit for an alp i barely use. Thanks a lot guitar tuner.
