What's New in Guyun
1.3.0
October 10, 2026
This version makes the numbers visible. ■ New: Usage Settings → Files & transfers → Usage shows how much Guyun itself transferred. · Today, this month and last month side by side — so a bill can be read against the month before it · The totals cover every device (a bucket is shared); "of which cellular" counts this device only and stays on this device, written to no bucket · Broken down by bucket and by device: which storage is doing the work, and which machine · Previews and thumbnails are counted too, shown as their own line rather than added on top · The total is what Guyun transferred: anything you did with the same bucket elsewhere is not in it, so it is usually smaller than your provider's bill · This device keeps 24 months · "Refresh (read every bucket)" now shows that it is reading, and reports how many storages answered and how many records came back from other devices; a storage it could not reach is named as such ■ New: Storage size A storage's page now has a "Total size" row: file count, total size, when it was measured, and how many listing requests it cost. · A large bucket can be finished over several taps of Continue once the budget runs out · The result stays on this device and is never refreshed on its own — the order of magnitude is the point · A demo storage is measured automatically ■ Improved: turning a lock off now asks for authentication Switching off the Face ID / Touch ID lock, or a single storage's lock, requires one device authentication first; cancelling it leaves the lock on. ■ Fixed · With a Chinese system and the app set to English, file dates appeared in a Chinese format — dates now follow the app's own language · "Last read" no longer claims a fresh read when a storage could not be reached ■ Also · Clearer privacy wording: keys live in this device's Keychain; they leave the device only when you deliberately hand a storage to another device — the handoff code contains them in plain text, so treat it like a password
