Timing is so bad
Order online, line up with a bunch of over eager uber drivers. No comms from the GYG team. App basically says it’s ready when it estimates it should be ready, which bares no relationship to reality. I’ve lined up for 15’minutes after it says ready. I don’t get the point of ordering ahead, when I rock up and it’s not even close to ready. Even my local takeaway gets this done better.

Do not update the app
Last ordered in November 2025. Next time I went to order the app was updated, my account logged out and couldn’t log in.
All help pages say to login with email and password which is no longer possible.
Help pages also suggest to reset your password from the login page, also not possible.
Logged a support ticket as per the help pages suggestions. Nothing from GYG other than we’re looking into it.
Previously ordered once per week but will not be back until you get your $hit sorted!

Buggy
After ordering, the pop down notification doesn’t leave

The app features work reasonably well. It is sometimes difficult to find items. Customisation is easy. There is no order to table feature for dine in.
DO NOT use the app for delivery.
The delivery from the app is through UBER.
The Uber deliverer delivered the breakfast order and spilt the coffee all over my food ruining it.
I attempted to get a refund through Guzman and they said it's Ubers problem and then I attempted to get a refund through Uber and they refused.
Their customer service is an absolute joke.
Do not use.

Notification
The app keeps on sending notifications even after picking order the notification is on and the only option is to delete the app. Close the app turn off the notification doesnt work
New update is a big improvement 🌯
I have been using the GYG app for a while now, it used to be slow and cumbersome with so many steps just to work out the menu. The new update is a nice change to this making it very easy to see on a map the restaurant I would like to order from and quickly see what that restaurant sells.

Everything feels much faster compared to before. It feels like an app and less like spinning junk now.
Update: it now has Apple Wallet. Great. 5 stars now

I never used to have any trouble with this app but now I can't get my GyG dollars to work. It says I have some available but it won't select no matter how much I try and press!!! There’s not even an option!!!!! No button, no nothing. It says "pay with GyG dollars" but no button to enable it!
The validation code didnt work
I’ve tried to sign up, but never received the validation code on my phone. Very frustrating!

AI app is best to confirm your address , select store and loop to again confirm your adress. when is going to get your order is never happen. Useless app. Good job testing team if exist that I doubt. Please pay me for finding your main procees bug and reported it
What an absolute shocker! DELIVERY TIMES DO NOT MATCH THE APP!
This is totally false advertising in the app! The estimated time was 34 minutes! The actual delivery was over 50 minutes and food was cold!

Amazing service, terrible app
I always have a lot of trouble placing online orders with Guzman and Gomez app. Their service is wonderful and the staff are great, but unfortunately the app really doesn’t work properly. It freezes often, the payment process fails, and when you go back, it sometimes selects products you didn’t choose. You really have to review everything very carefully before confirming the order.

Massive Drop in Quality
GYG used to feel fresh and quality-focused, but lately it’s become the McDonald’s of Mexican food. Ordered a chicken Caesar salad and it literally had 3 tiny pieces of chicken in it. Everything is drowned in sauce, and the boxes come out looking like they were shaken before being handed over. Messy presentation, low effort, disappointing quality overall.
