What's New in Gym Note Plus

1.6.7

October 1, 2026

Major: • Import past workouts (Pro). Find it in Settings > Data & Sync. Add a note or a photo per workout, pick several notebook pages at once, and bring them all into History in one go. • Import runs in the background: leave the screen or close the app, progress follows you around, and it picks up where it left off. • A fresh new look: new typefaces across the whole app. • Every exercise in a workout is now a card, in History, the post-workout summary and the translation result. Sets read like "80 kg × 8 reps". • Beat last time? A green chip shows what improved ("+2.5 kg", "+3 reps", "faster") next to what you did before. • The Exercises tab has a large new title, a "Recent" section with your last 5 exercises, and shows the muscles each exercise works. • Body measurements. Log your weight and other measurements under More > Profile and watch them on a graph. • Bodyweight exercises now count your body weight. Add weight to pull ups or dips in the Edit Workout screen and see it in your volume, PRs and Statistics. • Templates now belong to a day of your split. Pick the day in the template editor and Workout To Beat will suggest that template on that day. • The template picker on the Notes screen groups your templates by split day, with the rest under "Not linked". • Settings has categories and a search bar so you can find any setting in seconds. • Pick your equipment in Settings > Training and we suggest the exercises it unlocks. • New Default weight unit setting in Settings > Training. Pick kg or lbs and any note that doesn't mention a unit is read that way. Leave it on Automatic and nothing changes. Minor: • Import: dates written in your note, or the day a photo was taken, are filled in for you. You can change or clear them on each card. • Import: see how many of this month's translations an import will use before you start, and retry just the workouts that failed with one tap. • Import: crop or paint out parts of a photo before importing, and get a warning when a card looks like more than one workout. • Just upgraded to Pro? You can import your past workouts right from the welcome message. • Templates named after a split day are linked to it automatically. Tap the day in the template editor to change or clear the link. • Copying a past workout to a template picks the matching split day for you. • Tap "Link to a day" under an unlinked template to jump straight to the split day picker. • Workout To Beat keeps tracking your split correctly after you rename a day. • Creating a workout split tells you straight away if you add the same day twice. • PRs appear as a trophy chip on the exercise card. Tap it for the details. • An empty exercise library now offers "Backfill exercises" to fill it with the standard exercises. • The A-Z scrubber on the Exercises tab has been retired. • Set your date of birth on your profile. • The dashboard greets you by name. • Large numbers now use the thousands separator of your app language. • Notes can be up to 2000 characters on the free plan. • The active workout follows where you are typing, not just the last line. • The email verification banner is gone. You are only asked to verify when it matters. • Settings > Preferences is now called Appearance. • Russian added

Great app for folks who desire simplicity and flexibility in tracking

My biggest problem with other training apps is the rigidity and clunkiness — swapping exercises, changing their order, creating supersets, or doing just about anything else requires a bunch of menu hopping and tapping.

Gym Note Plus eliminates all of that, and it works extremely well. The developer is also very responsive.

If you already have a training plan and want a tracking app that gets out of the way and just helps you view your progress, this is a great option.

Glad you like the app Emma!

Actually useful

Being able to log my workouts in my everyday slang doesn’t make it feel like such a tedious task. Also reached out to dev about possible updates and was very responsive. Highly recommend!

Amazing App!

This app is amazing. Being able to scribble stuff in notes and then copy and paste it here has been so helpful. It keeps track of my progress and keeps me honest. Best purchase I’ve made for fitness so far!

Great app, eliminates clunkiness of Notes app

I used to use the Notes app on my phone to track my workouts.

Would run into the issue of not being able to see my progress unless I used another app, making logging and tracking my progress clunky and time consuming. Every day I would overwrite previous info and lose whatever I put the day before.

This app eliminates that. With the easy Translate feature, I just copy and paste my messy notes and the app automatically converts them into trackable and readable data.

Now I can see the progression of weight and reps over time, in the easy to read format of the simple and functional interface.

This has definitely become a vital part of my workout routine.
