What's New in GymNote+ Workout Log & Tracker

1.6.9

October 18, 2026

Major: • The exercise stats widget on the dashboard has a fresh look: your latest figure and how much it changed, with 1M, 3M and 1Y buttons on the large size. • New Spectrum Red palette in Settings > Appearance, with falling red packets for Lunar New Year. Turn them off in its palette card if you prefer. • Tap a point on a Statistics graph to see the workouts behind it as History cards, then tap one for the full summary. • Workout to Beat now shows the template linked to your next split day and lets you start it in one tap. Minor: • New edit button at the top of the dashboard. • Hold a widget and swipe with another finger to move it to another dashboard page. • Tap a workout's notes in its summary to read them in full and copy them. • The exercise picker in notes now offers exactly what you typed, even if it isn't in your list. • New templates are linked to a day of your split by default. • Achievement pins look more like polished metal. • The muscle map no longer jumps sideways when you flip between front and back, and the muscle filter tiles are better centred. • Fewer scrollbars, and the dashboard no longer bounces when you scroll up.

User reviews

Annoying to use

You have to go through an obnoxious onboarding just to get hit with a paywall that takes a few attempts to skip. After that, entering a workout is annoying too. I either have to type it all out on the keyboard or take a picture? Not a great experience to log a simple exercise

Great app for folks who desire simplicity and flexibility in tracking

My biggest problem with other training apps is the rigidity and clunkiness — swapping exercises, changing their order, creating supersets, or doing just about anything else requires a bunch of menu hopping and tapping.

Gym Note Plus eliminates all of that, and it works extremely well. The developer is also very responsive.

If you already have a training plan and want a tracking app that gets out of the way and just helps you view your progress, this is a great option.

Actually useful

Being able to log my workouts in my everyday slang doesn’t make it feel like such a tedious task. Also reached out to dev about possible updates and was very responsive. Highly recommend!

Amazing App!

This app is amazing. Being able to scribble stuff in notes and then copy and paste it here has been so helpful. It keeps track of my progress and keeps me honest. Best purchase I’ve made for fitness so far!
