Beautiful app, but not easy to find features
I’ve been using Gyroscope for several months, and overall I like the app. It pulls together a tremendous amount of health data and presents it in a way that can be genuinely useful. The potential is definitely there, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of fewer.
Where the app falls short is usability. Many features are buried in places that aren’t intuitive, and I often find myself hunting for something I know exists. The interface feels more designed for people who already know the app than for someone trying to learn it.
The documentation is also lacking. There are many metrics, scores, and features, but very little explanation of what they mean, why they matter, or how to get the most out of them. A more complete help system, tutorials, or contextual guidance would make a big difference.
Food logging also needs improvement. I would like the ability to create my own custom foods or menu items with nutritional information that stays exactly as I entered it. Too often the app tries to reinterpret or replace my entries, which means I have to verify or correct them repeatedly. If I’ve taken the time to enter accurate nutrition information for something I eat regularly, I want the app to trust that data and preserve it.
The AI coach has promise, but I think it could be much more useful. It would be great to communicate with the AI through SMS so it feels more like an ongoing coach rather than something I have to open the app to use. More importantly, I would like the AI to provide deeper, more personalized insights instead of simply restating data that is already visible in the app. Tell me what patterns you’re seeing, why they matter, and what specific changes are likely to have the biggest impact. That’s where AI can add real value.
Also there’s no elegant way to share meaningful information with healthcare providers. I would love to generate a clean, professional report that I could send to my doctor or nutritionist before an appointment. Instead, I end up taking screenshots or trying to explain trends manually, which defeats much of the value of collecting all this data.
I also think the app could do a better job surfacing important insights instead of hiding useful features in obscure menus. There is a lot of power here, but it sometimes feels unnecessarily difficult to access.
Gyroscope has the foundation of an excellent health platform, and I plan to keep using it. With a more intuitive interface, better documentation, reliable custom food entries, smarter AI coaching, SMS access to the AI, and robust reporting and sharing features for healthcare professionals, it could easily become a 5-star app.

Pretty amazing app!
My experience with this app was wonderful! I do wish that managing the subscription was easier
Life changing
This app lets me track my whole life with clear benchmarks to better health. I have tried other food logging apps but nothing has been as good as Gyroscope.
The central control center
There are a lot of trackers that exist and there are a lot of apps that will interpret that information. Gyroscope puts it all together in one single place where everything from your sleep to your workouts to your food to help you get better as a human being. At this point in my life, I can’t even imagine living my life without this app. A wonderful thing. It is expensive, but in my opinion, it’s worth it.

The best quantified life and food tracking app
Been using it for more than 10 years to track all my health data and it has gotten especially good in recent years with food tracking and AI recommendations. Really good for learning and making healthy changes.
