Add a delete file on the iOS app.
It’s really slow and annoying having to go into the menu file on the hardware zoom h3 device to delete a file.

This doesn’t connect to the H3-VR. Either this app or the device need updates.
Does not connect
During the pairing process, the H3 pops up a code but the app does not allow me to enter it and just hangs.
If I stop the pairing process on the H3, then the app starts popping up error messages that it’s lost connection and wants to reconnect but it can’t. Same thing happens on my iPad.

Great app but quits randomly
Being able to control most aspects of the H3 with the Bluetooth adaptor is great, and excellent for monitoring levels / making adjustments remotely etc. it would be nice if it were more stable with iOS on iPhone Pro Max 15. (H3 firmware 3.20).

Refuses to connect. Total dud. Zoom shouldn’t be advertising and selling the Bluetooth accessory knowing it doesn’t work with modern phones. Avoid!

This app isn’t working on my iPhone. I get another app but the external sound isn’t 3D or even stereo. I completely disappointed. 👎🏻 Why you don’t fixed the problem???
App wont connect with recent iOS versions
I have an iPhone 12 pro max. The app used to work, but at some point it stopped being able to connect - likely after an iOS upgrade. H3-VR shows the password, app seems to try to connect but then just freezes with all the controls greyed out.
Zoom need to fix this, but I’m guessing they wont. Recorder is running v3.2 firmware. Connection doesnt work with iOS 16 or 17

Doesn’t work with new iPhone 14 pro and latest ios
I can’t get it to connect to new iPhone 14 pro correctly. I launch the app and the app freezes . I can’t interact with the app, everything looks greyed out and the interface doesn’t work. The password goes away on the recorder. When I close the app it says disconnected on the recorder.
Bta-1 do not connect
As of May 2022 - I have an iphone 13 a H3-VR and bought the BTA-1 to be able to control my VR mic from my iPhone just to notice it do not wants to connect (What a waste of money) unless Zoom upgrades this issue this is probably the worst app ever!

You have to turn on direct monitoring in the settings. Would be nice if you could use on an IPad in landscape view.

Please make it possible to monitor the audio. It is essential for any professional.

Won't connect, to be honest the app was one of the main reasons for buying the H3-VR as I don't want to be near the mic. So...it's going back.
Promising but needs work
Being able to remotely control my H3-VR has been extremely useful! I’m using the app on an iPod touch and It’d be great if I could monitor audio via headphone jack. The interface’s rotary dials look cool, but basic sliders would be easier to operate; my fat fingers often slide the dial to in the wrong direction when operating:(

Now fine with iOS after update to 2.10
This used to work very well with iOS 12 but iOS 13 seems to have broken it.
I have several idevices Xsmax. 6SMax iPad mini4 iPod, iPad Air2, Touch 6gen. The app no longer works on my Xsmax or mini4 now they are updated to iOS13 but OK on the other devices that are still on iOS12
When the app works it is very useful. Especially as the H3-VR is sensitive to any handling noise.
It would be good if monitoring audio could also be transmitted. But my get around for that is to use a BT transmitter plugged in to the headphone jack. That is satisfactory.
Now happy to report that with firmware update 2.10
It is working again with the remote.
Note that there are now options for pre iOS 13
And for iOS 13 choose the right one.

Can’t monitor audio using this app
I’m disappointed and surprised that I can’t monitor my Zoom H3-VR’s audio using this app. I assumed I’d be able to. Fair assumption, right?
This is a glaringly obvious oversight, and I can only hope that this is Zoom’s #1 priority for feature enhancements, and that this review helps make it so. At that point, this will be updated to a happy five star review. Zoom to it, Zoom!

Firmware 2.0 still needs in-App monitoring
Need audio monitoring in app so can use headset on phone rather than cable
Not quite what I expected...
The H3-VR and the app are both AWESOME. It’s so cool to have a remote that you can start, stop, and name / make notes with. But the first rule of recording is ALWAYS monitor the audio! And although they use the word “monitor” a lot in the description, as far as I can tell you can’t monitor the audio through your phone. Only settings and meters. Which means you still need to run a long headphone extension cable everywhere for sfx, or a line out to the camera and phones from there...cause not monitoring is madness.
I get there are surely technical difficulties getting the audio to stream wirelessly to your phone, but I was expecting this to be the case.

No monitoring iPhone 7 Plus or iPad Pro
Bluetooth paired, I can control everything but there is no audio output for monitoring via my headphones on either phone or pad. I can see levels etc, I can hear audio in other apps. I purchased specifically for monitoring remotely with headphones whilst shooters no live360. If I could actually monitor and hear playback it would be a 5 but as it stands I’m hard pressed to give it one star.
