What's New in WLED

7.1

April 5, 2026

* Smoother App Switching: Fixed an annoying issue where the app would drop its connection to your devices too quickly when you opened the app switcher or moved to another app. * Network Permission Alerts: Added a helpful warning banner that lets you know if the app is missing the "Local Network" permission needed to find and connect to your devices. * Snappier Performance: We've made big improvements to how your device list loads and scrolls. Filtering and sorting is now faster, and the whole app should feel much more responsive. * Update Support: Added support for installing over-the-air (OTA) software updates on devices running WLED 0.16.0 and newer. * iOS 16 Fixes: Resolved a gesture conflict on iOS 16 that was getting in the way of easily toggling the power on and off. * Under-the-Hood Polish: Cleaned up some code and made various background stability improvements to keep everything running smoothly.

Pretty good, has a few bugs

You can do literally everything you need to do from this one app, you don’t need to use a pc or anything, its great. Ton of useful features too. One thing I’d like to see improved is the sideways swiping. I’d like it if we could disable that because its way too easy to accidentally swipe sideways to a different menu, and its even easier to accidentally delete your lights while you’re trying to adjust their brightness. Maybe add an option to disable horizontal swipe gestures?

App can’t connect

I can’t connect this app to my Christmas lights and no support is available to help out.

App doesn’t work

Can’t connect to wifi. Waste of time and money do not get

Free and good

I love open source software and use it all the time. Nothing everything needs to have ads and fees. The app functions as it should and I don’t feel as if my privacy is being sold to the highest or even lowest bidder. I use this app to control several LED strips and it works well. My only real issue is the macros for time and scheduling appears not to work. I have followed multiple tutorials and it still doesn’t assign an on off schedule. I have to manually turn my lights off. Unsure if the update broke the function or what?? Other than that it’s great. Thank u for offering free apps for the community! Especially In This economy. I will continue to donate here and there

App was working until version 7

Version 7 update broke functionality unable to connect to the controller within the app. I can still access the control via browser. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and still unable to access or add a controller.
