MAJOR BUGS. READ THIS. Desperately needs more development & love.
To SA Hajj officials—WHY did you approve this? What do you need before you hire proper talent? Do you not care for your pilgrims, your brothers? Please patch this ASAP, or contact me on LinkedIn @aqibmomin and I will gladly fix the login for free (iA in a very short time) using XCode & some common sense.
I cannot seriously believe the royal Ministry of Hajj has put their name on an app like this. With this much $$$ in the SA government, why ignore spending on proper software development, QA, and project managers? Do they need a better reason than the wajibat of millions—the sanctity of Islamic Hajj?
...Literally millions of people this year will depend on this farting glitchbox for ID cards. They may also use it for safely locating one another & to carry the spirit of their Hajj from Mecca and beyond. I could build a better system by myself in Swift in <1 month, and know many others who can as well. Mashallah I would also TEST before deploying. Right now, this thing is a pure disgrace.
With my rant finished, PLEASE read below for some helpful advice—
To my fellow Hajji’s: You must ‘Create an Account’ using Passport. Enter the OTP (and it WILL say Invalid even if you enter it correctly). Repeat this at least 3+ times and it should work. Some people had to do it ~10 times before it worked. Note: The US nationality is “American” and is in the middle of the list. All countries are listed out of order. Next, make sure your password is at least 12+ characters. Finally, after it says “User Created”, you will receive a text saying to check your email. But no, that email will never actually come. Sorry. You must now go back to the app homepage and hit Login. Use the Passport option again. Next, enter the credentials that you just created a minute ago & it should OTP you again. First try WILL work now. Voila, you have your Hajj ID! Please screenshot, share, and keep your ID safe. May Allah accept our Hajj iA.
