About

You remember the recipe, but you always forget the seasoning amounts. Hakaricho is an ultra-simple memo app made for home cooks who only need to track quantities. What is this app? "I've made nikujaga dozens of times, but I still look up the amounts on my phone every time." "Every time I open a recipe app, it takes forever to find the one measurement I need." "I just want to save my own seasoning ratios, not use a feature-packed recipe app." Hakaricho was built from those frustrations: a memo app focused on amounts only. What we deliberately left out Photos: not needed (they just slow things down) Steps: not needed (you already know the recipe) Nutrition tracking: not needed (outside our scope) Meal planning: not needed (that's another app's job) Tags and multiple categories: not needed (they hurt simplicity) Social sharing: not needed (this is a personal tool) What we did add: ways to make entering amounts genuinely fast. Tablespoons and teaspoons - tap to count Tap "tbsp" to cycle through 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, then 0. Set the amount without opening the keyboard. "a little," "to taste," "a pinch," "100 ml," and "200 ml" are also one tap. Enter a number, then tap ml or g to append the unit instantly. From the second dish, entry gets faster Previously entered seasonings and amounts appear as suggestions. As you type "soy sauce," your past "soy sauce" entry shows up. Most home kitchens settle on about 5-10 seasonings, so from your second recipe, registration is surprisingly quick. At the stove, that's all you need Launch, tap the dish name, see the amounts large and clear. That's it. No squinting at your phone while you cook. Sort your list your way Sort by not made yet, recently made, or date added, so forgotten dishes and go-to favorites are easy to spot. Last cooked stays on record Tap "Made it today" to log the date. Shows "3 days ago," "Yesterday," or "Today" so you can see your cooking rotation at a glance. Your data stays yours Everything is saved on your device only. No cloud sync. No login required. Works fully offline. For you if: - You want to record your own recipes, amounts only - Full recipe apps felt like too much and didn't stick - You want something you can glance at one-handed at the stove - You love minimal tools that do one job well May your everyday cooking feel just a little bit easier.
