About

Is it halal? Scan it and get a clear, reasoned answer in seconds. Halal Scanner reads food packaging with AI: the ingredient list, E-codes and any halal logo printed on the pack. Then it explains what it found in plain words, following the school of thought you choose. HOW IT WORKS • Photograph the front or back of a packaged food, or pick a photo from your library. • AI reads the ingredients and looks for a halal logo. • You get one of three verdicts: – Halal mark seen: a halal logo you trust is visible on the pack and no haram ingredient was spotted. The app reports the logo it sees; it does not verify or certify the product. – Check needed: no logo is visible, the list is unclear, or an ingredient depends on its source. – Haram ingredient found: the list contains something like pork, pork gelatin or alcohol as an ingredient. • If the ingredient list isn't visible, the app asks you to photograph the back of the pack instead of guessing. YOUR PREFERENCES • School of thought: Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali or prefer not to say. Where scholars differ, the result says so and follows the view you chose. No school is ranked above another. • Seafood: set by your school of thought (fish only for Hanafi, all seafood for the other schools). With Prefer not to say, the app points out where scholars differ. • Alcohol: always flagged, in any amount, including traces in flavorings and extracts. • Doubtful (mashbooh) ingredients: treat them as a concern or just note them. • The halal logos you trust. E-CODES EXPLAINED Additives can hide animal sources, so each one is explained: E120 (carmine) is made from insects, E441 (gelatin) often comes from animals, and E471 (mono- and diglycerides) can come from plants or animals, so its status depends on the source. ASK WHY Every result opens a chat. Ask "Why did I get this result?", "Does my school of thought change this?" or "What should I photograph to be sure?" and get an answer about that exact product. HALAL & E-CODE GUIDE A searchable guide to halal basics, halal logos, where views differ, E-codes and ingredients such as rennet, whey, enzymes and natural flavours. HISTORY & FAVORITES Every scan is saved. Search past checks, filter them by verdict and keep the products you buy again in Favorites. Please note: Halal Scanner gives AI guidance, not a religious ruling. When in doubt, check with a scholar or the certifying body you trust. SUBSCRIPTION Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, weekly or yearly, and is required to use the app. Payment is charged to your account at confirmation of purchase.
