About

Hall Cart is how a school's staff coffee cart takes orders. Plenty of schools run a small coffee cart for staff. It raises money for the things the budget does not cover, and it usually runs on a paper sign-up sheet in the staff room or a spreadsheet somebody rebuilds every term. Hall Cart replaces that, and nothing else about how your cart works has to change. FOR TEACHERS Open the link or QR code your cart posts in the staff room. Pick your drink and how you take it. The page shows the cutoff time and which period it will arrive in, so you know before you tap whether you have made it. Then it comes to your room. Order the same thing every Wednesday? Set it once and it repeats each week until you pause it. Pause it for a week when you are out, and it picks up again on its own. FOR THE PEOPLE RUNNING THE CART Every order for the day lands on one page, grouped the way you actually make them rather than in the order they arrived, with a printable prep sheet for the cart itself. Mark orders as you go. Track what is running low. Export the ledger to a spreadsheet when it is time to reconcile. YOUR SCHOOL STAYS YOUR SCHOOL Each school keeps its own cart name, its own colors and its own menu. Teachers see your cart, not ours. Hall Cart takes no cut of what your cart makes and handles no payments. Your school collects the way it already does, in cash at the cart or through your own account, and keeps every dollar it raises. Hall Cart itself is paid for by the school. Teachers never pay to use it. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No payment processing. No advertising. No tracking. No selling anything to anyone. It takes orders and tells the person making them what to make. Hall Cart is set up for each school by hand, so its menu, its delivery periods and its colors are right before a single teacher sees it. If you would like it for your school, get in touch through the website.

Notifications, so nobody has to watch the hallway. Teachers hear when the cart starts their order and again when it is on its way, which means you can keep teaching instead of listening for a trolley. Cart leads hear the moment an order comes in, and can start it brewing straight from the notification without opening the app. A live card on your lock screen follows one trip to the cart, from Order in, to Brewing, to On its way, with your drink and its mix-ins on it, and it clears itself once the coffee has landed. Change an order after placing it. Until the cutoff for the day it is for, My Orders lets you switch the drink, the mix-ins, the note or the room, keeping the same order number. Sign in with Microsoft, for schools on Microsoft 365. Send feedback from the account menu; it reaches us directly. If you have a standing order and the cart cannot fill it, because the machine is empty or your room number is missing, you are told that morning rather than finding out when nothing arrives. Notifications stay off until you switch them on, and the app asks only when you tap to ask. A phone that never opts in is never sent anything. This release needs iOS 16.2 or later.
