Best habit app

I’ve tried many habit apps in the past, nothing stuck. Halo has superb design that works to help you hit your goals while accepting human fallibility (eg streaks don’t break if you miss a single day). Keep up the outstanding work!

Great app with great support!

I’ve been using this app for a few weeks and I really enjoyed the way. They approach streaks and habit strength. I like the fact that it automatically counts certain things that you do in HealthKit (for example, 5000 steps per day).

I reached out to suggest that it automatically count mindfulness minutes towards a meditation goal, and they responded within 30 minutes, enabling it! Really incredible that they would do that, even on a weekend.

Really impressed with the app, looking forward to using it more!

Response from developer

Thanks so much for this review — and glad we could get mindfulness minutes working for you! HealthKit integration is something we're always expanding, so suggestions like yours really help shape what we build next. Hope the streaks keep going strong. -The Halo Team

No restore subscription button

Will 5-star as soon as they add one

Response from developer

We added the restore button. Thanks for flagging! -The Halo Team

Intuitive and Easy to Use

who knew AI could text you periodically and help you accomplish your habit goals. I’ve always had trouble holding myself accountable so having an AI that can check in on you and give advice helps a lot! I love this app and would definitely recommend others use it!

Response from developer

Really glad the AI coaching is helping you stay accountable — that's exactly what we built it for. Thanks for the kind words and for recommending Halo. -The Halo Team

Extremely overpriced

Really not sure why a habit tracker should cost Rs. 6900 a year. Deleted without delay.

Beautiful, but too expensive

It‘s a well designed app, but unfortunately not worth the steep price. The AI coach is a useless gimmick that spams users with text messages. Not convinced.

Whaaaat?

Before you can even try using the app you have to commit to a seven day trial then annual plan, add ai to your contacts and confirm your contact number. That’s WAY too much for a new app. No thanks. Try showing what the app is before asking for so much commitment. Way too many other options to give so much personal info and commitment upfront. Jog on

Response from developer

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I wanted to clarify one point: adding the AI coach to your contacts and confirming your number are both optional steps that can be skipped during onboarding. They're offered because the AI coaching happens via iMessage, but you can use the core habit-tracking features without them. That said, I hear you on the trial commitment feeling like a lot upfront. That's genuinely useful feedback, and we're actively working on ways to let people experience more of the app before deciding. Appreciate you flagging this.

Nice but expensive

The app looks beautiful and polished. The AI coach is actually helpful. But even with a discount, 60€ for a year is just too much. A bummer, since I actually like the app.

Stuck at subscription screen?

Unable to proceed ahead without taking a subscription. If subscription is compulsory then the same should have been mentioned in the app description so that someone who does not want to pay and is looking for freemium or basic feature set does not spend time trying to set up.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. You're right that Halo requires a subscription to use on an ongoing basis. We offer a free trial so you can experience it before committing. I understand that's not for everyone, and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

Best habit app

Super clean UI and great, responsive team. I’ve been really enjoying.

Game changing app

I’ve tried half a dozen habit apps and this is the first one that has really clicked for me

Response from developer

So glad to hear it!

A price problem

A good app in general, but the only subscription plan they offer is an annual plan. Paying 80€ after just one week of trial (in a habits app) is just to much commitment in my opinion. If they had an offer for 7€ for another month I would be more willing to give the app a shot.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback here.

A true delight

New favorite app (and gorgeous interface) - way better than any other app/method I’ve tried. Excited to feel progress quickly!

Professionally Made

You can feel the craft across every screen and step. Top notch.

Useless, massive hard paywall

Seemed like a great app with a nice UI until it puts you through a massive onboarding and only at the end slams you with a $70 mandatory paywall. Dude. Did you actually do any market testing of whether people are willing to pay that? I thought this was a freemium app or I wouldn't have even bothered downloading. The "3-hour onboarding followed by surprise paywall to try to leverage sunk cost fallacy into big $$$" trend that's become real popular with apps these days isn't cute and needs to die. I wish Apple would require apps to put the subscription price on the download button for any app that bricks itself if you don't pay. Absolutely no one would download this app if they had to press a button that said "$70" instead of "Get".

Intuitive and beautiful

Great experience, easy to get started and feel encouraged along the way. Way more modern feel than tools I’ve used for habits in the past.

Response from developer

Really appreciate that!

Money thirsty

“Oh yay, maybe this app will work” Nope you need to pay for it to do anything. Great idea, but maybe… not everything should be a subscription.

Response from developer

Hi there! Thanks for trying Halo. We actually offer a 7-day free trial so you can experience the full app before committing to anything. The subscription model helps us support ongoing development, including the AI coaching system and regular updates to make the app better. Totally understand if it's not for you.

Love

The app is very easy to use, has clear instructions and transparency, a good way to start your self development journey

Response from developer

So glad to hear it! 🙌
