About

You cut. The raccoon chooses. An object sits on a board: an orange, a steak, a geode, a rubber duck. Draw one straight line across it. Both pieces drop onto twin scales, and then the twist: a greedy little raccoon takes the heavier piece, and you keep the lighter one. Every bit you are off, he keeps. HALVES is a precision game about fairness. It judges by weight, not by looks, and that is where it gets interesting. SHAPE. Round things are easy. A ginger root, a banana or a rubber duck will lie to your eye. DENSITY. A watermelon's rind is light. A steak's bone is heavy. A burger's patty has slid off centre. The raccoon judges by eye; the scales never lie. HIDDEN INTERIORS. An avocado pit, a yolk, a hollow pepper, a pile of coins in a piggy bank. The rules never change, but every object is rolled fresh, so you read it instead of remembering it. Knock before you cut: the deeper the thud, the more weight is under your finger. PLAY. One big button starts the next level of the Journey: 120 levels across six worlds, a boss every ten, a new board for each world you finish. RUSH. Sixty seconds, no waiting. Clean cuts build a combo; eight in a row starts a Fever. Also Three Strikes, and a Daily Rush that is the same run for everyone. DAILY SPLIT. Five objects, the same five for everyone, one attempt each, scored out of 500. Keep a streak and share the result. THE SLICER. The blade only falls straight down. Slide the object, twist it into place, then drop the blade. WEEKLY EVENTS. A new theme every Monday, the same six objects for everyone. Bronze, Silver and Gold pay tickets; Gold wins an outfit. HIS TURN. The raccoon cuts and you choose. Half the time the heavier piece is the one that looks smaller. AND MORE. Two players on one phone. An endless Counter shift. A 48-lesson Course. A Pantry of 40 objects. Eleven knives to earn, each with its own feel. Chef ranks, daily missions, and a wardrobe of hats for the raccoon. GAME CENTER. Leaderboards for the Daily, Rush, the Slicer, His Turn and more, plus fifteen achievements. Entirely optional. No ads. No accounts. No purchases. Nothing leaves your phone.

The biggest update yet. RUSH. Sixty seconds, no waiting: cut, score, next. Chain clean cuts into a combo and hit Fever at eight. Also Three Strikes, and a Daily Rush that is the same run for everyone. THE JOURNEY. 120 levels across six worlds, from the Fruit Stand to the raccoon's own den, with a boss every ten levels and a new board for each world you finish. THE SLICER. The blade only falls straight down. Slide and twist the object into place, then drop it. WEEKLY EVENTS. A new theme every Monday: Bakery Week, Fruit Fest, Heavy Metal, Sweet Tooth, Thirds Week and Garden Week. Win Gold for an outfit. RANKS, MISSIONS AND A WARDROBE. Every cut earns XP, from Dishwasher to Master Chef. Three missions a day pay tickets; spend them on hats for the raccoon. FIVE NEW OBJECTS. Banana, carrot, mushroom, burger and bell pepper. Not one carries its weight where it looks widest. PERFECT CUTS FEEL PERFECT. The world stops, the blade flashes and the stamp slams down. Every object comes apart its own way: seeds, juice, cheese strings, coins. Plus a simpler home screen, rules you cannot miss, knife try-outs, a daily reminder, and many fixes.
