Pretty bad..

The band plan information is inaccurate and incorrect. Could use more features like DX cluster, FCC RF exposure calculator, etc. For a pay app, should be more useful.

Cool app

I've been using it for a while now and it isn't bad.

Check your Settings

Go to Settings/ General/ Accessibility/ Increase Contrast and make sure your Reduce Transparency is turned OFF. This, for me, fixed the problem of not being able to see the main menu. Only gave 4 stars because the app should detect and account for this somehow, but I did send the developer an email describing what I did to fix it.

Update is excellent.

Using this app for a few months and can give kudos to the developer for the recent update. Much cleaner look and easy to navigate. Good job and thanks for keeping it fresh.

No longer works after re-write!

Upgraded to the new version. Now when I tap the menu icon, the screen goes blank on my iPad and iPhone 6s. There are no longer icons on the bottom of screen. Please fix!

Wait for a fix before upgrading

Upgraded from an older version and now menu icons are invisible on iPhone 6, latest iOS 9.2. I tried uninstalling and re-installing with no success.

Antenna page

If it possible add convert Button from Feet to Meter in antenna page.

Fixit

Doesn't work with iOS 8

Band plan is incorrect for USA

Need an option for USA band plans. Following the UK plan could get you in trouble.

Cookie Raider

I use this app for the band plans and solar data and for that its worth the 69p

Very poor.

Qrz link is a link to a web page and is poorly laid out.

Very basic app and not worth 69p

Rubbish

Poor excuse for an app! Qrz facility is just a link to the website! Better off just booking marking websites with the same info on.

ham utility

this would be great if only the morse would work!

Worth $.99 for the practice keyer alone.

I bought this for the practice keyer. I works like an osciillator for Morse code practice. Tap the key button, and it produces a tone for as long as you are pressing the button. There's a little chirp or click on key-press and key-release (on an ipad), but that could be due to the speaker.

The band-plan section is mainly for Great Britain, with some notes for US/North America, but I haven't compared it directly to the US band plan as given at ARRL.

Suggestions for next release:
- have separate band plans for GB vs US, or a separate app for GB vs US.
- go into greater detail on the sub-bands
- in the browser window that does QRZ look-ups, allow contracting/expanding the view with the pinch/pull-apart movement
- show punctuation and pro-signs in the Morse Code section, not just letters and numbers.
- allow for full screen view when installed on an ipad.
- allow for rotation.
- investigate the chirp/click on key-press and key-release on ipad. Adjust software to eliminate it, if applicable.

Good App!l

On the antenna calculator I would like to see inches, not just fractions of feet. On the band plan I would like to see the freq. range, not just "2m" by itself, and so-on.

Excellent App

This is an extremely useful app. The band plan is detailed and particularly useful for those new to bands. Love the antenna calculator! If you are a Ham you should have this app.

Missing

Your Q codes are not complete ie QRP. Love the Solar idea...still testing it.

Good App

I echo the previous opinion...useful.

Handy app to have

Nice app to take along with your gear
Very handy like the qrz call sign lookup
