Amateurish
Many things are annoying. Can’t interact with password managers. Alerts don’t give enough relavent text to determine what transaction was, requiring you to go app. Logging onto app is inconsistent in that it doesn’t always work. Already mentioned that it doesn’t interact with password managers. Biometrics do not work in any reasonable manner. Small community bank so my guess is enabling technology is not a priority, understandable, but it shows in what essentially is a bush league app. Don’t choose this bank based on the ease of using your phone. (No doubt HCSB is a fine bank for the community). Me personally, phone banking is a priority so I will be switching my HCSB account to another bank.

Unreliable
When it works, it’s great! However, half of the time it won’t even let you log in. It’s really inconvenient when you need to move money or check balances. The Face ID login almost never works, either.
The worst banking app in the App Store
Unreliable. Poor user interface. Severely outdated compared to other banking apps.
Zelle does not work
The only reason I’m giving it to stars is because the Zelle does not work. They advertise they have Zelle on their app, but every time you go to try to use it, it says an error has occurred.
Not reliable
The reality is that this app is not reliable. I have tried on several instances to check my balance and I cannot even do that. The website isn’t letting me sign in or even reset my password, and the app is not working either. On top of all of this I have recently received a notification on my phone saying that my passwords appeared in a data breach. Stating the bank was affected. No way to identify if the account was stolen or if there is genuinely an issue with the app at this time. The security is just outdated. No updates on any potential services, outages, or downtime. The app is ancient, no mobile check deposit feature as in other newer bank apps. Its a very basic app when it works and it takes forever to sign in and it has forced me to change my password like 10 times in just over a year. Suggested to call service but they are not open. (The only one that closes as early as 4pm and many others are 5pm or have 24/7 customer technical service)

Trouble with app
When depositing a check, there’s no way to know that the check is cleared because it’s conflicting as far as how it is posted on the app. I will receive an email saying that it has been excepted. However, that does not mean that it is cleared but the running total for my account shows that it’s in my account available. Phone shows that it’s available but it isn’t available there needs to be a pending beside it until it’s cleared or something notify me that it is clear there’s no way for me to know that it’s clear at any given time.

Makes banking so much easier!
Have not been able to use the app for over 2 months
Not sure what happened during the last update but it no longer allows me in. Hopefully someone reads this and fixes it.
Terrible app
The worst banking app ever created. UPDATE 2020 This app is STILL the worst banking app out there. The app is equivalent to a old 1970s house with old appliances and furniture. Not modern or up to date at all.
Absolutely Useless
This has to be the WORST app in banking history! Error messages out the wahzoo and that’s only when it’s working ...
Does Not Work
This app continuously fails. It will not allow me to log in and see my account. When it did once or twice it was pretty basic. I have to end up going online to do anything with my account.
App Crashed
App crashes every time you try to open it. Obviously needs work.
