Export ist leider kein echtes PDF
Ich hätte mich gerne für diese App entschieden. Sie ist auch wirklich gut, aber leider lässt sich die exportierte Pdf Datei nicht weiter bearbeiten, da es sich um ein Bild handelt. Das ist dann aber leider lediglich ein Foto, welches in das Pdf Format umgewandelt wurde. Für meine Bedürfnisse daher leider nicht nutzbar. Wert aber diese Funktion nicht braucht, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Die App ist super flexibel um Datenbanken zu erstellen.

Update June 2023 Needs Work
I've used this product for years and like it, but it has some challenges, especially on the iPad mini. The newest update broke my most important form with some sort of dimension change. The title bar is very hard to read in light mode with blue on dark gray. Had to restore my iPad to go back to the prior version.

Non esiste nessun database relazionale come questo in tutto l’appstore.
Altri database sono poco configurabili e non hanno le stesse funzionalità.
Semplice nella configurazione, con molti campi a disposizione ed è semplicemente fantastico.
Lo utilizzo da anni e continuo ad utilizzarlo.

Does Not Work on iPadOS 15 — Why Is This Still in the App Store???
I’ve used this app on my various iPads for years but when I bought an iPad Pro last year, and restored my apps to it, I discovered that this app cannot be synced with a Mac because it does not ask to access the local network, so it says there’s no Wi-Fi. The iPhone version works but the “zoomed” interface is terrible.

This used to good.
There is no way to save on newer iPad. Worked just fine on my old one.

This app makes claims that appear to be false. It says that it is a relational database that can be created on the ipad, as far as I can see it can’t. You can create a db but not the relational part. The help system seems to bear little relationship to the application, for instance the field roster is completely different.
I even bought the forms version thinking that this would solve the problem, it did not.
Unfortunately I did not read the most recent review which is three years old.
A definite complaint is will be submitted to Apple.

Loose Ends
I’ve been a HanDBase user in the past and recently had a need for a database on my iPad. So I went back to HanDBase, paid the fee, downloaded the app and got to work. Having entered a small but significant amount of data, I decided to test out how HanDBase could be used to back up this data and thus protect me from future data loss. Unfortunately, the Desktop Connect feature that I used to use on the HanDBase version on my iPhone doesn’t seem to work on the iPad version of the app. I went to ddhsoftware’s support site but couldn’t find help there. I also noted that the support site seems quite outdated (meaning the content, not the form). This leads me to ask the following question: Is HanDBase for iPad being actively supported?

Import
I see no way to import a CSV file into Handbase on a iPad without using a pc or mac. How is that not possible in 2021. If I would have known I wouldn’t have purchased the software. The software is worthless to me. Congrats, you beat me for $10.

I noticed that it has been a year since the last time anything has been done with the app by the developer. A lot of things have advanced since that short time ago. Is there any chance that there will be a Major update to the HanDBase app? I use this application quite a lot, and every time I open the app l am reminded of Windows 95 or maybe the version just after dos 3. Please bring the app forward since the start of the GUI and present us with something new and fresh. Please.

Forms
forms do not function. After designing them they disappear after a while.
Not worth it
There is no query function in this database, without that function it is just like using a spreadsheet.
Amazing App for easily creating your own Apps
This database app allows access to Photos, Camera, GPS Coordinates and many more things, you can save the database in Dropbox, allowing you to access it from multiple devices.
Think of a database App you want, buy the forms add-on, then enjoy the fun of creating your own app.
BTW you can download Apps for free that others have created and kindly shared.
Why is this App not the top App on the App Store??
I think it is because those of us who found it spend more time using it than writing reviews, and the App itself does not pop up every two minutes begging for a review!!

Needs iCloud syncing or saving
HandBase can create databases easily. Love how can update on the fly by assigning new field types and views. Would like to have option to store db file on cloud service to use with iPhone and iPad.

On IPad retinal cannot copy files
Since I started with the new iPad retina, i cannot email and copy files from iPhone to iPad .

Last night I searched the net, and a lot of ppl are having the same issue with this app. So I called Apple Canada today and explained the issue with the app. They washed their hands saying it is passed 60 days, no refund. I said I wanted to speak to someone about how Apple chooses the developers who can sell apps on the app store. I said it is unfair that people pay good money for apps that are bug ridden. The guy hung up on me and I was not being rude.
