This app is useless I tried using it but still kept getting ads, I suggest the developers fix it or get rid of it cause at the moment it doesn’t do a thing
Simple app that does the job well - plus great support when I had a problem
It's hard to write a review for an app like this: it's designed to do one thing, and it does that one thing well.
I recently installed a program on my laptop that showed me all the different connections websites make when they load. It's horrifying, just how many different trackers, advertising servers, analysis companies and so on track everything you do. They even monitor exactly where your mouse moves and how quickly you scroll down the screen. They're tracking everything so they can make money out of you.
Handblock is a vital tool that helps stop this insanity. It simply blocks all the stuff you don't even know is there - advertising, tracking, measurement etc. It does it silently, presenting you with the website you want to visit, without all the hidden extras. Website companies need to learn: we don't mind seeing adverts, but it's like websites are "adverts with articles attached" rather than the other way around.
One more thing I want to add: I had a little problem working out how to do add a website to a "whitelist", because their adverts weren't intrusive. I emailed the developer - and I received a helpful reply within a few minutes.
That really makes a difference - someone who is willing to help when the user can't work things out.
Download this app, follow the instructions to switch it on, and let it do its work for you. Websites will be nicer and the internet will feel better. Every day will be like summer and ice cream will be free. Ok, maybe not free. But cheap.

Compares well to others
I compared this content blocker, Handblocker, with two others: Content Blocker+ and Ad Block Multi. I opened a clickbait article on Facebook (Oola, Diply, etc) like "25 people share the moment they realized they wanted to run away and hide because they went into public with no pants on" where each story is on its own page plastered with 30 ads, and tested each of the blockers, one at a time.
Results:
- Ad Blocker Multi blocked NOTHING - same as no blocker at all
- Content Blocker+ and Handblock: both pretty good. Blocked all the ads scattered within the story content I came to see.
Block lists and advertisers change over time. I tested these blockers on March 4, 2017.

Apps Gone Free
I tried this on the recommendation of AGF and am now free from all ads! No more ads stalking me, reminding me what shoes I shopped for or what website I have visited. It's very easy to install and use. Love the updates.

Une application qui fait son office et qui possède une liste blanche des sites rendus inaccessibles par le blocage publicitaire (aboutblank).
Pour renseigner la liste blanche quitter Safari.
Ouvrez l’application, aller dans les réglages (en bas au centre).
Cliquer sur sites en liste blanche
Renseigner le non du site et juste le nom, sans les www. http, https… etc.
Quitter l’application, ouvrez Safari et le site devrait être accessible mais avec les publicités.
