Finally a nav app that doesn’t force me to stare at my phone. The haptic pulses tell you where to turn and you just walk. Eyes up, head clear. 5 stars!!
Gets the last 100ft right
Catching up with friends after a show or finding a dive bar a few block away in a new city is always a hassle. Most nav apps get you to the general area and then you’re guessing which alley / door / entrance you actually want. Haptic doesn’t do that. It’s gotten me to the right spot in a crowd more than once, and finding friends at a concert with it beats texting ‘where are you’ 9 times.
Use it pretty much exclusively when downtown and at any big events. Genuinely impressed by the accuracy of the app.

Fantastic Tool for Trail Navigation
I know that the app is focused on accessibility for the visually impaired, but when paired with my Apple Watch, it is great for hiking and mountain biking along mapped trails and fire roads in the app. Being able to pin the trailhead makes navigation effortless. Instead of constantly stopping to pull out my phone or squinting at a screen in bright sunlight, I am guided by subtle sound and vibration alerts. This keeps my hands free and my eyes focused on the path ahead, making hikes and rides significantly safer and more enjoyable. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves exploring the outdoors!

Direction you can feel
This app is really well done and I appreciate how often the update it and take feedback into account. I’m not hard of sight or seeing but using this in downtown areas or heavy traffic areas is a godsend. It’s navigation you can feel and it’s intuitive. Looking forward to seeing where this app goes and expands.

This is the future of navigation
I’ve tried just about every navigation app out there, and HapticNav is one of those rare ideas that immediately makes you wonder why it isn’t the default way we navigate.
Instead of constantly glancing at a screen or listening to voice prompts, the app guides you through subtle haptic feedback. It sounds gimmicky until you actually use it. After a few minutes your brain starts interpreting the vibrations almost subconsciously, and you realize you’re walking with your head up instead of staring down at your phone. It’s a surprisingly liberating experience. The app is built around WearWorks’ “Haptic Corridor” concept, where the intensity of the vibration changes depending on how far you’ve drifted from the correct direction.
What impressed me most is that this isn’t just clever technology looking for a problem to solve. It genuinely improves the experience of getting around. In busy cities, crossing streets, or simply enjoying a walk, being able to keep your eyes on your surroundings instead of your screen feels both safer and more natural.
The interface also deserves credit. It’s refreshingly simple. You enter a destination, start navigating, and that’s about it. There isn’t an endless list of menus or unnecessary features competing for your attention. The focus is clearly on making the navigation disappear into the background, which is exactly what good product design should do.
Where I think HapticNav really shines is accessibility. Reading reviews from blind, low-vision, and DeafBlind users makes it clear this isn’t just a novelty—it’s genuinely expanding independence for people who can’t rely on traditional visual or spoken navigation. Several users specifically mention preferring it over audio directions because it leaves their hearing free to stay aware of their environment.
It’s not perfect, though. Like any GPS-based navigation, accuracy can still be affected by dense urban environments, and indoor navigation remains a limitation. If you’re trying to find a specific store inside a large shopping mall, you’ll often only be guided to the building itself rather than the exact destination.
I also think there’s room to expand the ecosystem. Deeper Apple Watch integration, more customization of haptic patterns, and tighter support for cycling or hiking would make an already compelling product even stronger.
Overall, HapticNav feels less like another maps app and more like a glimpse into what navigation could become over the next decade. It’s thoughtfully designed, technically impressive, and solves a real problem without adding complexity.

I love how easy it is to use! I open the app and right away I can enter the address where I need to go. Simple is what I need and the feedback from the haptic is spot on because it truly lets me know if I’m on the right track or not and I’m not second guessing myself. Thankful for this app! I would love to be able to map out walking routes for my blind husband using multiple dropped pins. He’s fine navigating to a specific destination using other mapping apps, but he routinely walks the dog several miles a day and he’d love to be able to walk on the beach and find his way home with custom routes.

Hello. I am blind and hard of hearing, and just downloadeed your app. I love the goals of the app and think it has lots of room to grow. However, I did find an accessibility issue. When looking through the collections to select my photo, I noticed that the buttons in each of the sections were unlabeled. To offer some context, the sections included Albums, Trips, Utilities, and others. I was hoping to find Favorites in one of these sections, since my chosen photo for my personal contact, includes my name in the VoiceOver description. I realize you may not be able to do much on this second issue, but thought I would offer it for your consideration. This is a great app, but the unlabeled buttons item should be looked at. This would make finding a particular group of pictures, like favorites, a lot easier.

I walk everywhere, because I don’t have a car. While I walk I love to look at everything around me; people, buildings and dogs.. it’s really cool to appreciate everything, kind of a meditation (with some great music).
I always see this time as a connection with myself, and disconnection with my cellphone which I’m connected to all day because of work..
