About

Intersector helps you quickly identify nearby street intersections using your iPhone’s location and heading. Ask for the nearest intersection, what’s coming up ahead, or use Scan Mode to point your phone down the street and hear the intersection it detects. Intersector can speak distance, direction, and neighborhood context, and includes optional wording styles so announcements can match how you think about your surroundings. Built with VoiceOver users in mind, Intersector focuses on fast, clear spoken information without turning into turn-by-turn navigation. It is designed as a lightweight orientation tool for understanding nearby cross streets, not as a crossing aid or safety system. Features include: • Nearest intersection announcements • Upcoming intersection announcements • Scan Mode for nearby intersections in the direction you point • Siri Shortcuts support • Optional distance, direction, and neighborhood details • Customizable intersection wording • Support for split intersections where different streets meet the same main street • Manhattan Snob Mode for New York-style direction wording • VoiceOver-friendly controls and spoken feedback • Dynamic Type and large text support. Intersector also has an Apple Watch companion app, so Siri Shortcuts and intersection data can be queried right from your wrist. Intersector uses location and heading data to provide orientation information. Always use your own judgment, mobility skills, and available pedestrian infrastructure when traveling.

What's New in Intersector

1.2.10

August 7, 2026

Lots of under-the-hood reworking to make Crossings more accurate when that option is turned on. Identifies mid-block pedestrian crossings and filters out unnamed service road data that may show up closer to named intersections. Further improvements to help with loading the initial map data for Nearest and Upcoming queries. Visual updates for the primary app buttons, including a more distinct Scan button. "Point and Scan" is now renamed to "Scan" across the ap. Watch App no longer has "Current Info" heading, opening up more visual space for enlarged text.
