About

Hear the puck. Guard your goal. Try not to get bonked! Audio Showdown brings the fast, chaotic fun of Showdown, an accessible blend of air hockey and ping pong, to your iPhone. Put on headphones, listen for the puck moving across the table, and drag your paddle into position before sending it flying back at your opponent. Stereo audio tells you where the puck is, volume changes reveal how close it is, and danger cues warn you when trouble is heading toward your goal. Touch and haptics complete the experience, creating a game designed from the ground up for audio-first play. Play traditional Showdown rules, where goals are worth two points and victory takes a two-point lead, or turn on Air Hockey Mode for quicker one-point rounds. Features include: * Fast touch-and-drag paddle control * Detailed stereo puck tracking * VoiceOver Direct Touch support * Adjustable opponent skill and game speed * Traditional Showdown and Air Hockey rules * Custom puck, paddle, strike, and room sounds * Optional haptic feedback * Multiple accessible color themes Whether you use VoiceOver or simply enjoy games built around sound, Audio Showdown turns your headphones into a wooden table, a speeding puck, and one very determined opponent. No protective gear required! Protect your goal. Trust your ears. Smack that puck.

What's New in Audio Showdown

1.0.6

August 10, 2026

The audio field has been properly expanded all the way out to your left and right ears rather than existing as a narrow chunk of table in the middle of the space. The puck movement sounds now track properly across the table. If using AirPods, just be sure to set Spatial Stereo to Off while playing the game. How to Play has been fully updated with clearer instructions and game feature descriptions. The Computer Difficulty has been tweaked to make the game fairer. The audio cues for each of the audio previews have been fixed for players using wired headphones.
