Our stay

Well what can I say… we have just spent 4 nights at this wonderful place for my partners 60th birthday, even got a free upgade to a suite in the castle which was amazing.
The food was lovely we tried the Vavasour restaurant for dinner which served amazing food. The fish and chips in the lounge was just what we needed after a days shopping. Breakfast was really good as well each day.
I would recommend a day at the castle which we did and we went for a lovely woodland walk, a spa and afternoon tea. If you are into your history book a castle tour to lean about the history of the castle, this was really good.

The staff was really friendly and helpful and couldn’t help us more.

Lots of place to go are a short drive away as well.

A little tip if you going to York drive to designer outlet and use park and ride, cheaper and less stressful than finding a car park in York
