Bioengineered ingredients

I only wanted to check this out to see if bioengineered ingredients were easily identified in products. Its not

Inaccurate Product Recognition and Misleading Nutrition Information

Here’s a concise one-star review you could post:

⭐☆☆☆☆

I was really disappointed with this app. Almost none of the products I scanned were actually in its database. Instead of recognizing the specific product, it just guessed based on the type of food. For example, I scanned a banana and it simply gave generic nutrition facts for “banana.” If it sees the word “organic,” it seems to assume the entire product is organic.

The worst example was when I scanned Bob’s Red Mill Organic Grits. The app claimed it was high in saturated fat, contained cholesterol and sodium, and even criticized it for having no added sugars—which is completely inaccurate. Those claims don’t match the actual nutrition label at all.

If an app is going to evaluate food products, it needs a reliable product database and accurate nutrition analysis. Right now, I can’t trust its results.

Database is hardly adequate

Half of the things I scanned were NOT in their database!

Does not work as advertised.

Every. Single. Item I scanned it stated no item was found. These items were common bought items at Walmart. I had to type in what the item was every time.

Not in database

Everything that I have scanned is not in the database. Waste of money.

Scan

Very good

Misleading App

You can download the app, but then you go immediately to a subscription screen.. such BS! Just be up front about it being a subscription app.

WHY IS THERE NO EXIT TO PAYWALL

WHY CANT I USE IT FREE BRO

Can’t mark yet

I haven’t use yet

False advertising

When I saw that this app could break down supplement details and tried it just for that need. I couldn't get any score on any of my supplements. They don't have details on the most basic supplements. Don't waste your time on this app.

Good app

Great!!!

Very poor

Has no information on the majority of my foods scanned. I clicked on 3 day trial and it took a yearly subscription not happy and in the process of claiming it back

Nothing I scanned was in their database

Kind of a waste of time. I tried the three day free trial, but none of the supplements I tried to scan were in the database. Also, for the food that worked, it basically said the same information that was on the nutrition label. I’m canceling the trial before I get charged.

Can’t even use the app without subscription

The worst app ever .

Cancel my ‘sub’

I analyzed 10 items from my refrigerator; more that half came
Back ‘no info found’.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD

Once you download the app for the trial you’re instantly out $33.03. They’ll claim you had 24 hours to cancel it. Right! Within seconds I was charged $33.03 right as I was going to my subscriptions to cancel trial. I was instantly charged and messaged them just to be told here’s a link how to cancel subscription. I just want my refund, it’s not worth the trial it’s a SCAM! Plus the items I scanned aren’t found on the app it’s all AI info which all you need to do is Google or use YUKA they do give you trial and don’t instantly charge for it. Been using YUKA for 6 years now. Don’t waste your time and hard earned money dealing with this scammer!

Not good for supplements

I downloaded this app specifically to scan supplements, as advertised. Unfortunately, it completely fails at that core function.

I tested multiple well-known supplement brands, and most were not recognized at all. Even basic, mainstream products were missing from the database, making the app essentially unusable.

Until the supplement database is dramatically expanded, this app does not deliver on its promise and isn’t worth downloading.
