Great!

I think someone has finally got it! There are some of us who care about what we eat, some don’t - I happen to care!! I’m so happy that someone came up w/this! I didn’t think that it was fair that you just had to trust the makers of the products of your favorite foods, that they’re not trying to kill you. But now I read ingredients, then just scan away & the truth comes out! At this time, I am very happy w/WISEcode!

FAQ

What does the WISEcode UPF Detector app do?

This app allows you to scan the barcode of any packaged food item and receive an instant, clear assessment of whether it is ultra-processed. It provides a UPF rating and a detailed breakdown of the ingredients, explaining their processing levels.

How does the app determine if food is ultra-processed?

The app utilizes a proprietary WISE™ AI powered by the NFP+™ platform, which analyzes each ingredient individually. It ranks processing levels, considers added sugar load and red-flag additives, and uses extensive data points per product to provide a science-backed result.

Is the WISEcode UPF Detector app free to use?

Yes, the app is designed to be free for users, providing free food intelligence. While the description mentions 'free with in-app purchases,' it also states 'free food intelligence for all' and 'built for the grocery aisle — fast, clear, and free,' suggesting core functionality is free.

What kind of data does the app analyze?

The app's NFP+™ platform has analyzed over 840,000 food products, with each product having 15,000 data points. This extensive data includes ingredient-level processing information, added sugar load, and red-flag additives, far exceeding the information found on a standard nutrition facts panel.

Who is this app designed for?

This app is designed for anyone who wants to know what's in their food. It's particularly useful for individuals managing health conditions, parents reading labels for children, or anyone trying to make healthier dietary choices by understanding food processing.
