Love newer version of the app

I have been using older versions for years, great app, newer even better!

Headset Support

You must have a supported headset or results purportedly may be inaccurate. Not going to buy a headset just for the test. I suppose the only way to find out is to download the app. Shame because I would have placed a greater degree of confidence in this test versus others available.

Response from developer

Dear User, thank you for sharing your feedback. We are actively looking into adding support for more headphone models, but we are unable to provide a specific timeline at this time. Rest assured, our team is diligently working on this, and we appreciate your patience. Stay tuned for future updates! Best, Hearing Number Team

Does not explain

Terrible job at explaining what the number means. I had to ChatGPT it. Fails at the core mission.

Response from developer

Thanks for your honest review. We appreciate you pointing this out. Best, Hearing Number Team

Never recognized my headphones

I don’t have Bluetooth headphones and even though I can effortlessly use my Bose headphones with my music and podcasts this app would not believe I was connected to headphones. Big miss.

Response from developer

If the app does not recognize Bluetooth headphones, please follow these steps: 1) Reconnect headphones.
Go to Settings -> Bluetooth, then disconnect and reconnect your headphones. 2) Test headphones.
Play music or a video through a different app. Check if you can hear the sound through the headphones. 4) Check other connections.
Make sure your headphones aren’t connected to another device. Turn off Bluetooth on devices that might be connected to your headphones. 5) Restart the app.
Close the app completely and then reopen it to refresh the connection. If you need more assistance, please contact us at support@hearingnumber.org.

$350 headset not supported.

It seemed to have worked well. Minus not supporting my headphones. I first tried some Beats but mine weren’t on the list, so I went to grab my Corsair Virtuoso Max and they also weren’t supported. It wants your mic turned on and detects you breathing as a loud noise. Could be accurate but it holds your headset against you.
