Thanks for making this product!
I have tinnitus, and before seeing a doctor I tried out this app just to see. Definitely go see an audiologist if you have concerns about hearing loss, that’s what I did, but the app results gave me that extra incentive to pursue a doctor’s visit rather than just brushing things off. Again, go see a professional, especially if you need a hearing aid. But I’m thankful that this free app is available for more casual monitoring

Spot on. A review by an ear specialist.
I am an otolaryngologist, or ear nose and throat specialist, with a high frequency hearing loss in my left ear. I have been using this app for the last few years, and it is by far the best one out there to give reproduce results. This, of course, does not give you the same information as a full hearing test in a booth with an audiologist, but it's an amazing screening test that you could also use for baseline. And also a great test to measure changes. I've been using it for over a year, and tracking my own hearing. Out of all the hearing test apps I have tried, this is by far the easiest, most accurate, and most reproducible hearing app. I highly recommend it.

Great However
I was worried about my hearing, as I sometimes struggle to hear conversations when there is background noise I’m 69, so understand it’s pretty dire , however my eyesight is very good but the characters were too small to read and I had to borrow reading glasses to see them
Works with hearing aids
I suspected that either my right ear or right hearing aid wasn’t working properly. This simple test confirms that even through the hearing aid I have moderate to severe loss on the right only, so I have something to send to my hearing professional. Good app and good job.
Pretty close to professional hearing test
Gave results that are close to the professional hearing test I just did.
Good test. Easy to use. Results clearly shown. Thank you.

This is NOT a hearing test.
Im a speech therapist with audiology magister, and really this is not working at all. Every time i response, the sound get’s louder and the sound every time you response has to get lower!!
People, DON’T install ANY APP that said it’s a “hearing test”
Go to your doctor/audiologist expert.

ENT Doctor suggested this app
I recently suffered from Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss and went to A&E at 3am. The ENT doctor I saw (within 30 mins!!) wanted to do a hearing test, but no audiologist was there. He suggested this app to me to do one. I didn’t have my headphones with me though, but starting using it as soon as I got home to do regular tests, and speaking as someone who has had many hearing tests, I can see why he suggested it. A couple of reasons for not 5 stars is first, an actual visual compare function between two different tests, so you can look at the graphs between two different tests at the same time, would be really useful. The other is around improving accuracy - it’s really important that you ensure you don’t have any equalisation settings enabled like bass boost on your headphones. To be on the safe side, while doing tests I go to Settings - Music - EQ and then turn EQ to off, also just to be on the safe side, I turn everything off under Audio. It might be that the app bypasses these, but my JVC HA-531BT have a separate loudness function. I think the app should help with this. Aside from that, it’s a very good app, the shapes of the results are reflective of what I get from a proper hearing test.

Useful Guide for Hearing
I downloaded this to test my hearing once everyone around me started to mumble. I realised that it wouldn’t be accurate but it confirmed what I expected. Sadly, the ‘Age Test’ showed I couldn’t hear above 7000Hz while my 14 year old granddaughter could hear up to 20,000Hz, so it’s definitely me, not the others!

Great
Said my ears are bad and I can literally tell they’re bad lol I went and shot the 240 with no earpro and just wanted to know how bad it was and this seem accurate
Seems good
I have a new SNHL diagnosis due to an autoimmune disease. Prior to treatment I was tested in a clinic. My results on this app are similar to what my clinic audiogram said. I’ve been using this app to track fluctuations during treatment. I expect some differences with results due to the fact that my home testing environment isn’t as quiet as what is in the clinic, but this app has still been very helpful all the same. Thank you.

Great App, needs a tweak though.
I have developed SSHL. The app test is inline with my audiologist test. App is easy to use. My one improvement would be, the ability to overlay multiply results so you could easily compare tests over a given time span.
Otherwise I would strongly recommend this app.

Seems to be accurate but I’m not sure
The results mimic what I get from the clinic I go to, to a large extent.
However. I did not find a big difference between my test with and without my hearing aids in place. I used over the ear headphones so I think I should have seen the graph as being much flatter with the aids in as with them out but that was not the case.
Also, the age test said my ears were 75 years old regardless of what I indicated I could hear. I actually heard nothing :(.
I donated anyway because the profile shape was so close to a full proper test at the clinic.

Test is fine the ads are not
The testing works fine, but ads shoved into your face are not. I understand the need for ads in a free app, but these are disrespectful. There is no way that I could find to return to the app, it kept dragging me to the App Store to buy some silly game. Without the ad setup I would give this 4 stars.
I will look for other hearing test apps. I will buy one if I find one that is more respectful to the user.

Accurate
Was able to find my exact age just from a 15 second test
Tested my daughter after a test at a specialist
Thank you for the app. It should be use with a good quality headset for music to get the best results. We did two tests on my daughter with two different audiologists. I downloaded the app to try on myself and then I tested my daughter. The results where impressively close. The app is easy to understand and I actually learned more using the app than reading the specialist results.
I strongly advise to use before to get tested by a specialist. In particular it was helpful for us to understand that children may have some difficulty in speech if they can’t hear correctly the full spectrum of the sounds.

Excellent app
Easy to use and very accurate when compared to what my audiologist audiograms show. It was recommended by my audiologist.
Fun to do the hearing age test with kids and older people and to create awareness on hearing health. My hearing fluctuates so this app is a key tool that helps me monitor my hearing and let me know if I should adjust my hearing aides. Many thanks to the developer!
