Misleading and unethical

Unsatisfied to Satisfied
I was excited to get started offering financing, being that we are in a higher ticket industry. Now, it was just a backup because we work with insurance on restoration projects. Key word, “backup”.
I signed up for the white glove service and had a great conversation with Taylor when signing up. Awesome guy and explained some newer things they were launching with AI call centers which I was SUPER pumped about. We did a demo and I was shocked at how good it was, which gave me a lot of confidence that Hearth is a forward thinking company.
Then I got to onboarding where things went sideways. To make a long story short, it’s not what I expected. I won’t make any outlandish claims, but it felt as if they REALLY wanted me to send out loan applications as fast as possible. I explained that this is just a backup, but she kept reemphasizing the importance sending out applications. I did not get an answer that I felt comfortable with, so I asked to cancel. She immediately conceived and sent a message to their billing department, didn’t even care to help at that point. I already bought the product, it’s not like she had to sell anything.
Then the billing team called and explained I didn’t qualify for a refund. I literally have had this for 1 month and haven’t used any of their resources. I was upset and pleaded that this was not fair and I wanted to speak to someone higher up. She denied me and said there’s no one above her. I became more frustrated to which she replied, “I am a woman and don’t appreciate you speaking that way.” I’ll admit, like I did above, I was upset. But by no means did her being by a woman have anything to do with that. The implied sexism turned me from upset, to furious. I have a wife and daughter that I provide for and for someone to say imply that I am acting a certain way based on gender is unfathomable.
From my experience, I can say that the product is pretty easy to use. But the service of this company is what potential clients need to look at. 3.5 stars says something about a company, be aware.
***update, Amanda Hester was gracious enough to give me a refund and heard my frustration. Love that. Thank you very much. Amanda is the rockstar at Hearth

Deceptive Renewal Practices & No Accountability
Hearth relies on automatic renewal language buried in their contract and refuses to offer refunds, even when the service was never used once. There is no courtesy phone call, no meaningful customer support, and no willingness to resolve issues professionally.
In July 2025, I proactively called Hearth to ensure my account would not renew. I spoke with a professional and was told someone would follow up. No follow-up ever happened. No email. No case opened. No confirmation of any kind.
Fast forward to February 2nd, and I was charged for another full year of service. Hearth claims they sent a renewal email in December — I never received it. If I had, I would have immediately responded to cancel. Instead, they defaulted to auto-renew and are now refusing to reverse the charge.
To make matters worse, we never used this service even once during the year we paid for it. Most of our clients didn’t qualify for financing, making the service unusable for our business. At this point, we’ve paid over $5,000 for something that delivered zero value.
As a business owner myself, I would never treat a client this way. Hearth won’t even get on the phone to discuss the issue — everything is handled through rigid email responses and contract language. That alone should be a red flag.
We have an active dispute open with American Express and will be fighting this charge. This situation is less about the money and more about principle. Companies should not operate this way.
If you search 1-star reviews on Trustpilot, you’ll find many other customers with nearly identical experiences. That tells you this is a pattern, not an isolated incident.
Please reconsider working with this company. I will continue sharing this experience to prevent others from being taken advantage of.

On top of this we obviously did not continue our subscription for the next year, and they refused to help us extract our customer information.
Bad app
Unauthorized Charge & Not a Trustworthy Company
There are much cheaper software options out there that treat you with respect, offer real support, and actually help when you need it. Meanwhile, Hearth did nothing to help, ignored what I told them, and left me stuck with a charge I never approved.
Their billing practices are predatory, their support is useless, and the company is not trustworthy at all.
One of the worst experiences I’ve had with a service.
Avoid it.

The worst company
Review of my experience.
The CRM is missing many basic features that contractors need, and the app constantly has issues. Updates don’t fix the core problems—it still doesn’t run smoothly. Recently, they announced they were “rebuilding” the CRM and made it sound like a major upgrade, but in reality, it was just a few small changes. These are things my $40 subscription with another CRM already includes.
On top of that, Hearth is very expensive compared to alternatives, yet it delivers much less value. I’ve tried many CRM systems, and honestly, this has been one of the worst experiences.
