Sad to see
Played this game since launch, sad to see its state now. Been legend rank nearly every season I’ve played in recent years. I could go on forever about the issues, but I’ll stick to a couple major ones that literally make this game unplayable for me.
RNG - hoo boy, where do I start? I’m going to try to keep it as short as possible. 90% of decks in the meta, especially stronger ones, are packed full of RNG mechanics. That’s fine, it’s a card game. Randomness is inherent. The problem isn’t necessarily the fact that it’s RNG heavy (even though this does feel like a contributor to loss of class identity and inhibits strategic consistency, thus lowering the overall skill and intelligence required and offsetting it with, well, just luck). The real problem though is that there is legitimately zero chance that any of what’s happening is “random”. There is 100% certainly some type of algorithm or AI intelligence controlling the “random” rolls of cards. Which I guess in itself isn’t a problem, but the outcomes that take place during some of these RNG events are absolutely mind boggling and literally destroy any possibility of actually “outplaying” someone. If both opponents have at least room temp IQ and a good deck then it 100% boils down to rock paper scissors + who draws their setup first, that’s it. Yes you will still have to think a little bit depending on your deck, but at legend rank people are usually pretty familiar with what cards to play so 9/10 matches boil down to who drew what.
Imbalance - man, I try hard to avoid ever complaining about balance in games. Sometimes things that are a little imbalanced can make for insanely fun games. But this games balance is the most frustrating I’ve ever experienced, with anything ever. When you get high in legend rank, you literally only see 2 decks. Somehow I have managed to consistently create unique strategies that are able to ‘sometimes’ compete with top meta decks, but the amount of frustration it causes when seeing the same paladin deck using the most broken **** you could ever fathom every single match over and over again for months and months is just DUMB. You just know that the game is over as soon as they play a huge card and you don’t have an immediate answer, gg. Same story over and over, it just gets old. There’s so many cards and classes in this game, yet the balance is so terrible that only 6 variations of 3 decks and classes are viable at top rank, lmao. And maybe that’s a slight exaggeration, but this game would factually be so much better if we could use more of the cards and build unique strategies that are actually competitively viable. It’s just way too meta. You either follow the meta and copy it exactly or you get your *** kicked.
Tl;dr - if you like being a mindless meta-bot. If you like paying to win every couple months. If you like winning against other people without being good at anything. This game might be for you!

Unbalanced Money Pit
Cards need a lot of work. Deck archetypes just get abandoned. No quality of life improvements for players. Wild is a dumpster fire. Monetization of everything. But hey, there’s pets.

Good game but unplayable
The game on the PC is good but through the app store on mobile is unplayable it’s always crashing mid game and than I end up losing, extremely frustrating and makes the game super unplayable…
Most recent update fixed my issues. Awesome!
Since recent update Game started failing to connect to start a match. Sometimes it will connect if I attempt to reconnect 5 times, but by then its turn 2 & match it is ruined.

Play on PC, phones crash too often
Every update seems to bring more and more crashes. It used to be one every now and then, now it is at least one, or more every game.
As a reference, i use an older iPhone and one from 2 years ago, as well as a fairly recent iPad. And the crashes persist throughout.
I can’t even enjoy the game on the go anymore. The only way i can play it now is sitting down on a pc, which i have very little time to do these days.

It’s been a few months now since I’ve been able to open this app and play a game without it crashing
Optimization
The IOS optimization is terrible couldn't even get the game past the sign up process without it putting me in an infinite loop of failed sign up verifications, Oh how Blizzard has fallen
Phenomenal game that doesn’t work
This is such an awesome game but it is plagued by frequent crashing and also disconnects during matches. Happens both on WiFi (gig, fiber optic) and cell data connections.

Rigged games
I use to like to play arena but lately been feeling like a rigged game. I would have multiple low cost cards and a few high cost cards in my deck and will consistently draw high the cost cards at the beginning of the games causing me to lose most of my games. I understand if it happens sometimes but I consistently draw the same high cost cards across different heroes and decks while my opponent will draw perfectly. You would think if you keep the number of high cost cards in your deck low as possible you have the percentage on your side, that is not the case in my experience.
