Re August 4 update 2026
Following the update it appears that all minions are no longer functioning. Specifically Boggy Nemsy’s companion, Nephrite Army the treasure available to Brightwing.
Occasionally Boggy dis appear in PvP, very sporadic.
Additionally while fighting a bounty after defeating the enemy you are held in combat seemingly by a enemy off screen. 🧐

New thing to add: I wish you could look up a list of who you just played duos-battlegrounds with (and even the opponents from there too, but mainly the teammate). I play duos fairly often and would love to add some of my past teammates. Adding opponents sometimes you add people that are upset you won or and take it hard. Usually when an opponent adds you it's because they're heated and want to add to say something awful to you, then immediately unfriend you so you can't reply with an awful thing back. I try to kill with kindness vs replying with mean hearted things if I get the chance. Anyhow, duos is a rare teammmate situation that I love, working together with someone, but I can't ever look up names or add them and it's a shame. Also to add I just re-read my old post. The gold situation is very well done now.so much you can get with the in-game currency and I love it. Thanks hearthstone team, your game is amazing.
Original post: Such a good game. This is the only game to completely hold my interest across so many years and it never gets stale always new content expanding game modes and stories. Even a cool yearly rotation that keeps things fresh. Regular matches have 3 play styles, there is a weekly wacky custom game called brawl, so many play styles and decks, duals, mercenaries, battlegrounds, solo storyline and more. So many unique play styles that are all worth playing. Two areas it falls short. You cannot talk to other players. A voice chat on/off option during matches would be very cool. People only message you when they are upset and they lost a match, and even then it’s typing when if you’re in a game is hard to do while playing. And you can’t use the in-game gold to buy a lot of the items. You can still do free play on the games and do well, and use gold to get more cards. But lots of cool stuff I wish you could get just by saving up and playing a lot. Even if the gold price is really high there should still be one. Especially I think all of the fun visual items should be unlockable with the gold you can earn. Outside of these small things there are endless good things to say and I recommend anyone who reads this to play this.

Getting worse
I’ve played this game since in started and nowadays it is so unbalanced it’s ridiculous. Ranked mode isn’t skill based at all, it’s just RNG for who draws their 1 or 2 game winning cards first. This used to be a complex game, people creating various decks for ranked mode to test out their own ideas and skills. Now it’s just a handful of decks everyone plays because anything else loses close to 100% of the time. Arena is awful and to play the classic mode is so over priced now. Plus it’s imbalanced on similar ways to standard/ranked mode. Sadly I think I’ll be deleting the app and saying goodbye after years and years of this being my favourite game.
It’s a shame, but they’ve ruined it.

Besides the fact that many games are being supplemented with AI, it’s all terrible and has done nothing but gotten worse since they sold to microsoftpeen years ago.
