GAB Merger
Very slow processing times, to the point that it lags and I have no idea how much money I actually have. This is a side hustle business checking account, so it’s rarely used, but the information has lagged so severely through the week, that I’ve been hit with ridiculous fees even though I transfer money as I see all these lagging charges go through at once. They said they give zero grace period to put funds in. That didn’t happen until GAB, and it doesn’t happen anywhere else. Once I change all connected payment methods away from this bank, I’ll be done with them. Sorely disappointed in Heartland- they used to be amazing to work with.

Mobile deposit history doesn’t work! No confirmation of acceptance.
The mobile deposit feature is supposed to allow you to view prior mobile deposits however the history only displays electronic transfers between accounts. I have given this information to customer service numerous times and no one has resolved the issue. No way to confirm your deposit was accepted for processing.

Loved this bank for years and am so disappointed with the unwelcome changes they KEEP making. I’ve had to change apps twice in the past year and am having to re learn how to navigate each time.
Mobile Deposit is Hard to Find
I have spent more than two hours in a mobile app trying to find mobile deposit feature at first I thought was deleted,but it’s not - just hard to find.
Go to Menu ➡️ Pay & Manage ➡️ Deposit a Check
Please provide easier access to mobile deposits, simply add it BACK to navigation. Swapping out Messages or Activity Center will be preferred.

Stay away from this bank!
Heartland was a great bank until they were bought out by German American bank. German Americans website is archaic and bill pay is a nightmare. They also take your money out 2-4 days before it’s paid and then charge hefty fees.
No mobile check deposit option?!?!
The whole reason to use this app is to deposit checks so I don’t have to go in to the bank. That option is now nowhere to be found. Please add this feature! Literally every other bank has it

I’ve been a heartland bank customer for years and rarely had a problem with the app. Since they merged with GAB, it’s been very slow. And tonight I tried to log in only to find I’ve been locked out of my accounts with no explanation given.
Terrible app.
Heartland was bought by German American Bank recently and although the app looks close to the same some very important functions are hard to find, like check deposit. It’s all basically a hassle to navigate and I don’t recommend it to anyone. I’m considering closing my account actually because almost everything I do is from my phone.
