Hearts: No Ads

New game now deals the moment you tap it. A FASTER FIRST GAME The first game of a session used to sit for a second or two after you tapped New game, while the table was put together behind the menu. It is built now while you are still reading the menu, so the first game of the day starts as quickly as the second. FIXED The deal used to run before the table was on screen. You arrived at a hand that was already dealt, with the dealing sound still playing over the top of it. The cards go out now once there is a table to deal them onto. HOW TO PLAY The rules pages, in Settings › Rules and Gameplay › How to play, were written in a shorthand that only helps someone who already knows the game. • "Pass your danger" now says what to pass and why: cards that might stick you with the Queen, such as high spades. • The scoring page gives you both numbers instead of leaving the Queen's as an arithmetic puzzle. • The opening page draws the table you will actually be sitting at, with you at the bottom and the turn moving clockwise, rather than four faces in a row. • The trick is laid out in the diamond the felt puts it in, instead of in the order the cards happened to be played, and the card that takes it is marked. • The frame around all of it is brass. It was the same red the table uses for points against you, so a page of instructions was outlined like a warning about itself. Still no ads, no subscription, no account, and no servers.
