I’m so whelmed
Listen man, this app does exactly what I need it to do. I even like the fact that when you read in article the color of the hyperlink darkens so you know you read that one. Yeah it has a lot of ads but you can tell that’s from the webpages there articles are on. I using sit in my computer chair and read metal article on my computer. This is the same basic experience but in a user friendly package. 10/10 no notes no complaints.
Also, unless he was gonna some how bypass allllll these metal websites agreements with all the ad company’s that advertise on their website, there’s just no logical way this app could exist without ads.

The best
This is by far the best app for up to date metal news. I used social media to keep up to date, and now only use this app. Highly recommended. Now I know when my favourite bands are in town super easy
Ads have become a major problem
I don’t particularly like ads on a webpage or app, but they are a part of life, so I accept them. However, the ads on this app have recently become obnoxious, unavoidable, and … predatory? They pop up in the middle of your screen from multiple directions while you are trying to read an article. You can minimize them or swipe them away, but they come right back and black out the article you are trying to read. Over and over. It makes reading an article practically impossible and definitely highly annoying. I used to love this app and the wide range or articles that it provided. However, it has now devolved into an unpleasant mess. I’m sure that the owners of this app/website were successful at monetizing the content, but it has strayed far from what it was. Embed the ads in the page or have them just pop up at the top or bottom, that’s fine. But what they have now is unusable. I’ve been a consumer of Heavy Headlines for years but this is the end.
