Immersive Tuning Experience, except…
We were cautious to give this a try and it took a while maybe a month to really fully understand how evolved and fresh tuning with your eyes and your ears at the same time in a visual pattern instead of using a meter and trying to drill it down to zero, we are slowly using this all the time and have become so enamored with the process that we rarely use other tuners - 4 stars (not 5) because the app does NOT handle landscape mode in our I-pad (only vertical)

One of the best tuner apps I have used
I have tried many tuner apps over the years. I always come back to the Helix tuner because it seems the easiest and most accurate. Visually stunning and works perfect.

Extremely Accurate
Helix Tuner consistently provides me a highly precise result due to the visualization. It seems to offer a special kind of accuracy when reaching the final calibration moments of tuning a note. For this reason it's become my primary tuner over some other more traditional tuner designs.
Optimal
Benutze die App um meine Musik zu Analysieren damit ich ich weiß welche Noten gespielt wurden. Läuft auf meinem alten Handy neben dem Lautsprecher 😎.
Low sensitivity
Not sensitive enough to pick up an unamplified electric guitar at very close range in a silent room, even with the sensitivity switch on. Might be nice if it could also run as an AUv3 in a DAW, but as is it is completely useless for silent guitar practice. Also lacks landscape mode screen rotation.
Absolutely amazing
I hope other people get a chance to try this tuner out. Incredibly helpful for me as a trumpet player. This is all I need for intonation practice. I love the minimal design and the beautiful visuals. It’s made playing long tones a kind of fun game where the goal is to keep the circle from spinning one way or the other

A useful app but wish it responded quicker to detecting the not being played. Look up Drone Tuner by the same developer, it will train your ear to actually play in tune with music.

Music is heavenly now.
You likely heard the adage, "it was like I took a blanket off my monitors". This tuner had the same effect on my guitar in the room. It's amazing what effect a tight tuning spec can have on complex chords, but the real test is hearing simple triads sound so sweet. The psychoacoustics actually come to mind (what did you just call me?) Helix tuner makes the popular clip on tuner sound... Well just saying well worth dealing with your phone. Automatic mode it's so simple. Just turn it on and forget it.

Similar to a strobe tuner and has a graph to help represent the shape and/or quality of tone you are making. Not really a Fourier transform, but something like it.

I play the harp and it‘s ability to recognise low strings is astonishing. Harp always sounds perfect!
Highest notes (on the harp) are bit difficult to read, but maybe there is a fix for that in the future?

Incredible tuning accuracy
Gets my guitar perfectly in tune without any hassles or delays. One suggestion: it would be even better if it could go to landscape orientation, especially on an iPad. Thanks for a great app!

Totally psychedelic, and by far the quickest and most intuitive way to tune anything from guitars to pianos. I also use it when practicing the saxophone since it provides immediate visual feedback. The only I'd wish for is quicker pitch tracking in automatic mode.
You think you’ll be using your eyes to tune? You’re wrong
Get an acoustic that’s out of tune, put your phone in front of you, start tuning. The visuals of this kind of allow you to half close your eyes to concentrate on the note pitch while being positively ‘guided’ to the correct pitch by a swathe of colour and movement. And I know it sounds like my headline title is contradicting what I’ve just said about ‘not using your eyes’ but here’s the thing, when I use this tuner it seems as though my ears get ‘positive reinforcement’ from the visuals so that they are actually doing more of the tuning now, far more quickly. I like this a lot.

Very useful
I love the app and find the visualization of harmonics and such very interesting, its helpful for tuning instruments to any base tone and in any temperament; i would like to see custom scales and other temperaments added :)

Just what I was looking for- a way to check just intonation. The visual format is so refreshing compared to other tuning apps too. If only there was a way to have a drone playing at the same time it’d be perfect. I highly recommend viewing the YouTube video if you’re not sure.
