I am writing to express my concern regarding the non-delivery of my gas cylinder. I have been trying to contact your agency multiple times, but either my calls go unanswered or the responses I receive are not helpful.
Recently, when my call was finally picked up, I was asked irrelevant and unnecessary questions instead of being given a clear update on my delivery. This has caused a lot of inconvenience.
I request you to kindly look into this matter urgently and provide a proper update on the status of my cylinder delivery. Please ensure timely and responsible customer support going forward.
Looking forward to your prompt response. I am using bharath gas since 2014 never seen this type of service .

Poor service from Vinayak Bharat Gas Bangalore

Very disappointing experience with the Bharat Gas app and service.

I registered for a double LPG cylinder connection more than two months ago, but there has been absolutely no clarity on when the request will be fulfilled. The customer care and service staff seem to have no idea about the status, and they don’t even bother to check their systems properly when asked.

The staff response has been extremely poor and often rude, which makes the experience even more frustrating. On top of that, LPG deliveries are not done on Sundays, which is very inconvenient for working customers.

Customers are constantly pushed to download and use the app for LPG booking, but honestly the app is buggy and unreliable, and it hasn’t improved the service experience at all. There seems to be no real benefit of using the app if the backend service and support are this inefficient.

Overall, the combination of poor service, rude staff, lack of accountability, and a buggy app makes this a very frustrating customer experience. Serious improvements are needed in both the app functionality and the service responsiveness.

I could update my mobile number inside the app!

Thanks for making the mobile number transfer so convenient! I thought I would have to visit the Agency folks which is like 8 kms away from home and I was procrastinating it from a year or so, and only recharging on my older number just to keep it active for this gas booking. Today I tried to update my phone number through this app and it worked wonderfully within a single minute, by talking to the Urja chatbot, smart name huh ;)

Case on agency

I had a very terrible experience with Shivshakti Bharatgas Agency.

On 25th October, a major fire broke out in my home due to a gas leakage from the cylinder that was delivered on 24/25 October by this agency.
Even after such a serious incident, the agency did not offer any help or compensation. They never pick up calls, behave very rudely, and show no responsibility.

They also changed my address without my permission, so even if someone comes for enquiry or inspection, they will visit the wrong location. This looks like an attempt to avoid accountability.

I booked another cylinder on 5 October, and they delayed the delivery for more than 10 days. On top of that, they again changed the address and still did not respond to calls.

This is the worst gas agency I have ever dealt with—unprofessional, irresponsible, and careless about customers’ safety.

I am sharing all bill receipts and police complaint details so others can stay informed and avoid facing the same situation.

EKYC working in iOS, only when other apps are removed and only digilocker/madhaar app are left.

EKYC connects to Umang app, when it should connect to madhaar or digilocker app, instead for verification. Nothing happens, when Umang app is opened as outcome. Earlier it was connecting to Abha app for me. No option is there in Umang app to trigger or approve the eKYC.

Due to this, verification of eKYC is failing. The verification gets stuck in target app.

Solution: I had to remove Umang app, Abha app, and keep only digilocker and madhaar app. At first attempt, nothing happened when digilocker was opened. So I removed digilocker too. In next attempt, it did not open madhaar app and the authentication timed out, but the status on the app turned to e-KYC done.

There is no way to report any wrong delivery..

Every time i book a delivery of Gas Cylinder and choose the payment method as Cash on delivery, it actually gets delivered to me once out of three times.. The Delivery boy delivers the cylinder in black market.. I have complained so many times. All waste.. Now I have started booking with online prepaid option and now it takes more than 15 days to get it delivered and eventually i myself have to reach the distributor and take it ownself.. No delivery for prepaid orders since they can't earn extra from my Cylinder..

Service boy demanded additional amount

Service boy ( who brought cylinder) demanding additional money. When I try to give less amount than what he demanded he did not take money. Even he has not taken balance of Rs. 5 .

He left my house without taking Rs. 5 and even he has not taken OTP. However he called me after half an hours and requested to give OTP. But I rejected and requested him to collect Rs. 5 and said OTP will be given thereafter. But till know he has not turned and taken OTP

Request to instruct the Service boys not to demand any additional bill than the bill amount. However we will definitely give some amount and should satisfy with that

Extremely Poor Service and App Experience

I am extremely dissatisfied with the overall service provided by the BPCL app. I placed an order for gas through the app, completed the payment, and yet the app has failed to update the order status properly. Despite my payment being processed, there has been no confirmation, no delivery update, and the app continues to show no progress, leaving me completely in the dark about the status of my order. This kind of technical failure is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of professionalism and attention to customer needs. It's frustrating to see an app designed to streamline such a simple service fail so miserably. Not only has it wasted my time, but it has also caused unnecessary stress, as I now have no idea when my order will be delivered, if at all. The lack of proper communication or support from your end only adds to the frustration. It is appalling that an established company like BPCL cannot ensure that its digital platform works efficiently and delivers basic services like ordering gas without these major flaws. I strongly urge you to address these issues immediately, as this experience has been nothing short of disappointing and reflects poorly on your company.

Extremely bad

There is a wait period when you ask for UPI payment. The next page is a blank. So one never knows if the process is going through or not. Then after 2-3 minutes of waiting it allows you to make the payment. By that time transaction link is broken. Now one has to go through the rigmarole of speaking to the dealer and sorting it out. Isn’t this ridiculous owing to the technology available in today’s day and age?

Not delivering in time if we pay bill online

I am customer under Padmavathi distribution, Selaiyur, Tambaram. I booked the cylinder on 28 Oct 24 , I am writing this review on 5 Nov 24 , I paid the amt online while booking the cylinder, it takes more than a week to deliver if we pay online otherwise they deliver on another day of booked because if it’s cash on delivery, delivery man can demand commission 50 rupees or above along with bill amt they don’t accept if we give 20 or 30 rupees as commission amt while they leave the cylinder out side of house, so try to change the corruption system and ask them to deliver in time.

Login difficulties

Instead of sign in, every time it’s prompting to create account. You also keep changing the dashboard and menus appearances. Most of the customers like me may be using the app every two months. The changes in the menu and dashboard layouts do not seem to add any value but it’s frustrating to open the app and find everything has changed.

Issue in Number update request

Hi dev team there is an issue while updating the phone number in the requests services. After filling the new phone number the number pad used for filling the number doesn’t vanish or go away making the update button hidden behind the number pad because of which user is not able to update the number.

App support team is useless.

While using the app for the first time, by mistake I have charged money in BPCL smart drive account instead of e drive account. I have called the support call Center and asked them to transfer the amount either to my e drive account or to refund back to the bank account using which I have charge money.
After talking to the support team I understood that they were not able to clearly understand my concern, may be due to lack of common sense also they were keep on transferring the call to one another and wasting customer time for which no resolution was found till date. BPCL being such a big company, should take action for employing such stupid people and should help customers in resolving there small concerns without much complication.

Issues with UPI payment

The app has issues with UPI payment. I have tried to use the feature multiple times and each time the payment gets through from the bank, but, unfortunately, the app never receives the payment status.

Although the amount gets refunded after a few hours, the hassle of repeating the steps and getting the same issue again is irritating.

Payment getting deducted but refill is not booked.

Since last three months or so, the app is behaving weirdly. while booking it takes us to the payment gateway, but once the payment is done. it either shows an error saying “Something went wrong” or the timer incase of upi disappears and it again waits for us to click on the make payment button. In both cases the refill is not getting booked and have to contact bpcl customer care to get the refund. also, have tried booking from Gpay directly its also a hit and miss. Kindly resolve the issue ASAP.

Issues with Order confirmation

App has issues with order confirmation. I tried to book the cylinder and payment was made via UPI. The amount is debited from my account but do not see any order confirmation in the history or anywhere in the app. I have raised a dispute for reversal with my bank to reverse the transaction and made a new booking now where payment mode is cash on delivery. Kindly process the refund as you do not have any order Id tagged against the payment made. This is very unprofessional experience when I see similar reviews posted before 2 years as well.

Poor design of app

It is hard to believe that BOCL can’t properly design a simple app for booking the refill and tracking it. When the mPIN page opens, it opens without the keypad on screen to key in the number most of the time. Without the keypad, how would one type the number? I need to close the app many times when at last I will be able to log in. Besides, when payment is done and the transaction is successful at the payment gateway like UPI/Netbanking/Debit Card, some crazy error messages show up, like “Sorry, some error happened” many a time. Fix your bugs first. Your app is user-unfriendly.

Really user friendly App

Initially I was apprehensive about this app but I think this is the easiest app I found and I have booked the gas twice already! I booked a refill yesterday or day before and I got it today! Absolutely fantastic and thanks for making my life easier!

Problem with payment while delivery

I always booked by app and with online transactions but whenever cylinder delivered that cost is different from what I have paid online and it’s printed on receipt, so I have to pay the difference in cash delivery guy but if that days price is low no one pay me back that difference amount. If BPCL taking online payment for cylinder then why can’t I get cylinder for same price.
