Unfair Permanent Ban / Lifetime Premium VIP Account Terminated Without Proof
My paid Lifetime/Premium VIP account was permanently banned out of nowhere. And my device was also banned. Customer support claimed it was due to “multiple user reports “ but they provided zero evidence or explanation of what rules I supposedly violated. I have always strictly used this app for language learning and never discussed any sensitive or controversial topics.
It feels like a malicious group-reporting attack, and the team just blindly banned a loyal paying user without review. Please conduct a proper manual investigation and restore my account immediately! My Hellotalk ID : Ht_tom_22610

Best to just avoid this app. They’ll delete your account without warning and refuse to give you any warning. Don’t bother with it

Приложение реально помогает в изучении Английского и других языков. Позволяет найти хороших людей для общения и расширения знаний о культуре других наций. Но есть ограничения для бесплатного использования. В любом случае нужное и полезное app для всех пользователей желающих изучать языки
Not good anymore
It used to be a good app where monetisation came second and rules were more strictly enforced. It’s now a pay to be VIP and pay more after so you can message even more people type of platform. There is a massive saturation of new members and usually conversations last a short time before the dwindle. The only recourse is if you post selfies or go half naked on webcam in chat rooms, which is what everyone does now.

Lost contact with friends due to a flawed system
My account was suddenly suspended without any prior warning, even though their official guidelines state that actions should follow a "Warning > Suspension > Deletion" process.
To unlock the account, they require a 20–40 second verification video, but the app keeps giving errors and won't let me upload it. When I contacted support, they told me to split the video into 2–3 parts. If the system can't handle a 20–40 second video, why even ask for it?
Furthermore, they should have just required identity verification when creating the account in the first place. Now, I've lost contact with friends I finally made inside the app. This process is completely broken and frustrating.

Worst app I’ve used
Legit used this app for 2 weeks straight messaged so many people reaching out didn’t get a single reply. This just makes you feel bad about yourself this app is not worth your time.
To many fake accounts
There are way to many fake accounts and if you ask to much for people to show proof that they are who they say they are they suspend you’re account.

The app is just as advertised, easy to use, met a lot of friendly people however for some reason it will not allow me to delete my account 😅. Otherwise, amazing.

Free version now useless
A recent update means you can’t search for partners in your target language without paying. Makes the app unusable for free. I totally get why they charge for lots of features and that is fair. But to remove basic thing as connecting to someone who speaks your target language you want to learn unless you pay makes is a turn off.

The platform has extremely crude and unfair account review rules. My account and device got restricted unexpectedly without any clear violation notice. I submitted appeals to customer support many times, only receiving generic automatic replies with no real human review.
Lots of basic features are locked behind VIP paywalls. False reports work easily while legitimate users have no way to defend themselves. If you want language exchange, look for alternative apps.
