Je ne joue qu’avec mon fils et plutôt que d’être Zargon, je peux vivre l’aventure avec lui. De plus l’app fonctionne sur un vieille iPad ne prenant plus en charge les derniers iOS. C’est appréciable. Seul reproche, les voix en anglais mais ce n’est pas rédhibitoire pour nous.
HeroQuest Companion App – Possible Bug Report
I live this, it allows me to the game when there is no one else available.
I do have a query though.
While playing Quest 5, I noticed what appears to be an issue with the Pass Through Rock spell when it is cast on another hero.
Spell wording:
“This spell may be cast on any one hero, including yourself. That hero may then move through walls on their next move.”
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have the target hero (e.g. the Dwarf) take their turn.
2. On the Elf’s later turn in the same round, cast Pass Through Rock on the Dwarf.
3. End the Wizard’s turn and proceed to Zargon’s turn.
4. At the start of Zargon’s turn, the companion app removes the spell effect from the Dwarf.
5. When the Dwarf’s next turn arrives (the following round), the spell is no longer active, preventing the Dwarf from moving through walls.
Expected behaviour:
The spell should remain active until the targeted hero’s next move, even if that move occurs in the following round. This matches the wording on the spell card.
Actual behaviour:
The spell expires when Zargon’s turn begins (or at the end of the current round), before the targeted hero has an opportunity to use it.
I was able to reproduce this behaviour consistently in a test game, so it does not appear to be a one-off occurrence.
Could you please confirm whether this is intended behaviour or, if not, investigate it as a possible issue with the companion app?

Great for me and the wife but no sound sucks
Got Heroquest for Xmas and wanted to play together with the wife and this app allows us to play without worrying about having to deal as the game master. Only gripe I have with it is that the sound never works, would love to hear the story telling in a different voice than mine.
Use Zargon as a suggestion and revealing map DM to have best experience
Amazing app and quality thats all free! I love the charm like the mark hamil like voice acting for slaying goblins and orcs and the setup for quest. To get the best experience from this app i would use zargon and app as a suggestion and not completely adhere to its restrictions for best gameflow. I love using this with a friend and letting zargon be ai so i can teach both sides of the board. Thank you Avalon and hasbro for the love put into this. I know plenty of people who are going to miss and miss out on this revitalized board game

Replay with different dungeon layouts?
It’s great app for when you wanna play with family and friends, and no one wants to be the bad guy. Future addition to app? would be a way to randomize the dungeon so you can replay with friends and family and try different characters and have a little bit of an element of surprise when you play it again.

New to HeroQuest
I’ve never played this game before or any type of table top game with miniatures. I remember the commercials for this game when it came out “back in the day.” My friend got the game and we played it together with our wives😅 (just the 1st quest so far). It is really fun and this companion app is really cool and helps you along. Love the soundfx and music. I hope they continue supporting this but it looks like 2026 is the end of support. Hopefully we can still use the app in years to come.

Couldn’t play without it
As a family with littles who has moved out of state this app is the only reason I’ve been able to consistently barrel through content as a solo player in the rare free time I can muster. The app is generally solid and while there have been some bugs here and there it otherwise wouldn’t be possible for me to enjoy all the expansions the game has to offer so quickly without it. I hope the developers are allowed to or can respond on the best method for us avid players to submit bug reports and acknowledge their fixes in future updates, some are years old and we’ll annotated in the global HQ community. Beyond that, thank you for this and supporting and enabling my play one of my most cherished games.

App veramente molto utile, ti permette di giocare senza master, anche se i tiri con i dadi dell’applicazione sono troppo sbilanciati, conviene usare i dadi fisici, c’è qualche bug da correggere, come la sequenza dei turni dei giocatori e il fine turno e poi manca VERAMENTE una scheda per salvare i personaggi, quella sarebbe utilissima, non capisco perché non sia stata fatta. Peccato.

Die App ist eine gute Idee wenn man niemanden hat, der den Gegner übernehmen will, oder nur zu zweit ist und trotzdem gemeinsam kämpfen möchte.
Das Menü ist komplett Deutsch, leider die Sprachausgabe nicht. Wenn ich mit meinem Sohn spiele muss ich alles übersetzen, was ein bisschen die Stimmung killt. Trotzdem finden wir die Idee spitze, wenn auch noch ausbaufähig.

Excellent Addition
This app works great as dungeon master so I can play as a hero with my kids. It’s well thought out, polished, and looks great. It makes us love Hero Quest even more.

Hypnotic Blaze not working
We have been using the app since August 25 with little issue. However, since beginning the Kellar’s Keep expansion the Elf’s Hypnotic Blaze no longer works and states ‘no line of sight’ in positions where there is clear sight to all monsters.
Nice but not compatible
It’s nice and very useful. Unfortunately it doesn’t allow you to play in more than four players (in some expansions it’s possible); doesn’t allow you to include in your party any animal companion and, last but not least, you have no control over the monsters’ movements
Great Start- still some to go
Over all this app is great! I grew up playing this game and have since been bringing some friends in. It’s nice not having to be Zargon. But it would be an even better app (I would give 5 start) If it allowed play over a server. So I can play with family and friends that have the game but live in different parts of the country. Biggest bug that bothers me, If there is a trap on the other side of the door and there are no monsters present; when you search for traps it will not tell you they are there until you go thru the door and trigger it. Even if the dwarf goes thru first, you can’t attempt to disarm the trap. This needs to be fixed!
