Please fix lock the car button old version was better than the current app version simply because lock , unlock and star t buttons was smooth and was working perfectly now it takes be time to lock the car and time to unlock the car
Worst rental wasted £194 for 8hrs of driving
Rented for 3 days and was only able to work for 1 day. Wasted £156 on the rental and then £35.61 for charging which took me 2hrs 10mins. Then after returning at 97%, I later see I got charged an additional £2.54 per kw double then any fast charging rate. Unbelievable.

It takes soo long until you get a reply. There’s no phone number, you have to send a in app message and just wait. I wrote a in app message to send the v5 document otherwise I won’t be able to work they send it after 5hrs which I uplaod straight away but it took 24hrs for Uber, Bolt to approve. 1 day missed of work
2nd day worked as normal
3rd day I sent in app message to extend the document becuase uber and Bolt will block me 24hrs before the document expiry but they didn’t so i couldn’t work on the 3rd day. I then spent from 2am till 9am trying ti figure out how to charge as on the app it does not teach you. The flap where the charger is inside off didn’t open so I had to call AA technical team which arrived at 10am and they opened the flap for me and teach me how to charge. They said these cars always gets stuck because everything is on the app. There’s no key you do everything in your phone, open and unlock the car which sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Very annoying. Anyway managed to finish charging at
12.10pm (2hrs 10mins) then cleaned the car and drove to hertz and gave their useless car back.
I then sent an long email stating I want my money back and they said replied they won’t give my money back because it is the apps fault for taking long to authorise it and then blocking me 24hrs before. What about the reason they sent me the documents 5hrs later then when i requested. Other rentals they let you see the car, the documents and then if you are happy then you take payments, they even help you upload the clients if you want. But here nothing. But they still advertise car ready for work. They should clearly put pay for rent for 3 days, spend £200 and work 1 day only let’s see how many drivers hire from them. Absolutely terrible lying cheating disgusting deceiving money stealing money. Please tell other drivers and share this.

Can’t even get started
The pick up for my rental is now an hour and a half later than scheduled. There is no one to talk to and the chat doesn’t work either. You will be left infuriated and frustrated beyond your worst nightmares. This is the stuff the word ‘agony’ derived from. This app has a rating of 1.6 and quite honestly confused why it’s that high!!

Hertz HZ App Issues
@HertzUK Your app, which provides the only key to my rental car, has been down for hours. I’m late for work, at risk of a parking ticket, and drenched from waiting in the rain. Customer service is unresponsive. This is unacceptable. Please resolve this immediately. #HertzUK #CustomerService

customer service is very poorly organized. they don't even respond to email/live chat. they charged my account 2 times without reason or proof/bill

Requires lots of personal data
Requires photos of your face and drivers license. Do I trust Hertz as a relatively small and IT clumsy company with this data? Not really. I still might take this privacy risk if the benefits are large, but these photos are required before I can even see if the app has any value or not. I know it’s tough for a financially weak company like Hertz to invest in a solid app. Sigh …

Worst customer service
Don’t ever think to get a car from them. When you need something for the car, it il takes weeks to get an answer from them not to fix the issue, just to get and answer when they can fix it.
If you get a fine they don’t even ask you or let you know about the penalty, if you want to appeal, they just charge you. As i had auto pay at one parking, for some reason i wasn’t charge and i get 5 fines which after appeal will be cancelled, as many drivers had this issue with their system. But they want to charge me £475 for this and because i emailed them the proof of auto pay and ask then to make appeal they blocked the car. So the rental was paid but I can’t access the car. It take me over 7 hours to speak with them, as when you write them on the app they answer after 3-4 hours, and if you have to say something, like just open the car for 5 minutes to get my stuff from it, it takes another 3 hours, and the answer is that he will need to speak with a manager. Ok, I deleted the app, as I can’t stay 3 days with that app open to wait for their answer. Then I emailed them the address where to collect the car and asked then to refund my money for the week i paid and my deposit when they get the answer from the fines that they cancelled them. And to post my stuff by Royal Mail if they don’t want to unlock the car for 5 minutes.

Je tiens à vous dire que j’ai voulu louer un véhicule Tesla pour six mois je ne vous dis pas la galère
Comme c’est un service qui est uniquement par tchat et que les opérateurs sont à l’autre bout de l’Europe, c’est très compliqué. Moi juste pour récupérer un véhicule j’ai dû passer 10 heures en tchat pour expliquer que je n’arrivais pas à récupérer le véhicule à l’adresse indiquée en fait j’ai fini par abandonner
Deuxièmement, le service tchat en ligne et totalement incompétent, ce qui veut dire si vous prenez un VEHICULE qui vous arrive un pépin sur la route. Et bien vous avez ni numéro de téléphone. Et bon courage pour avoir quelqu’un en ligne sur le tchat .
C’est un service qui a été mis en partenariat avec Uber, donc je vous le déconseille fortement

Awesome experience
Nothing but great things to say. The sign up was simple, the car was ready, and renewing was a breeze ! The customer support team in the chat was FANTASTIC. I was locked out once and they helped me out quick ! Can’t complain
