Obnoxious
I cannot play this game. The escape version is not a bad concept, but the colors used in this game are absolutely obnoxious. I struggle to make myself stare at it. For a game with basically only two colors, they could at least let you choose what color you want to stare at. I’ve never experienced this kind of eye strain with another game. Also, I’m annoyed that this game claimed it would teach me new words. It’s not like it gives you the definition of a word if you randomly swipe one you don’t know.

Stands the test of time
I’ve been playing this game since it came out and it hold up so well. The soundtrack is incredible and it’s such a great UI/UX for unplugging and giving your brain a break from doomscrolling. Also I’m learning a lot of new words.
A rare quality word game
A visually attractive and entertaining word game, a favourite I keep coming back to. The different games add variation. I love the concept and the naming of levels. Highly recommended for its quality and design.

Not worth the money
Tried many free games better than this, I find the word play very limited. Any game that’s not even willing to let you try before you buy is probably not worth buying !

I really appreciate that it’s a fair premium price with no ads or IAP, and that the developer has kept it updated for over a decade. I applaud developers who do it all right like this. So rare nowadays. I found it randomly, so glad I did.
The file size is small. It’s good on battery, and everything is very smooth. And I like the different modes giving you different choices how to play. So if all you have time for is a super quick game, you can do that, but if you want something slower and relaxing there’s that too.
It’s more challenging than I thought it would be, but it’s doable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this game. Thank you developer!

A great workout for your brain. It actually feels like I’m using parts of my brain that haven’t been used yet lol definitely a great game and absolutely worth the $3 charge.

Only Word App Worth Playing
honestly I don't know how long I've been playing with this app but it is years.
Took me a while to realise it was up to me how simple or sophisticated the game play was. I'm still pretty lousy as my vocabulary isn't the broadest, this doesn't detract from the game as i play to beat my highest score.
Learn as you go-my lousy vocab was even worse before i played Hexiled. Kids could get much from this app also.

My go to for igniting my brain
I enjoy word-speeding. I have been using this for a good two years. kind of bummed that they reset my numbers and now I got sent back to zero. But I’d give this five stars because I will do it again. A good challenge to race against time and the machine.
Best word puzzle game out there

HEXILED
Have been playing this for YEARS on my ipad … dont find playing on my phone very good because its too small. Its still my most favourite game.
