Works fine for the most part but needs more regular updates. Can’t switch to quiet mode without switching to another mode first and cannot adjust the light schedule, it just reverts back to whatever it was initially set to. More and regular updates pls.

Average at Best!
I purchased the box back in April and started the process everything was good then 30 days in the light panel in the box went out I had to do without for about 7 days where my plant took a major hit. I installed the new light panel and got back to normal. I get to week 7 and the app skipped the drying process. I contacted support and they got the box back in dry mode and for some reason I can’t get the box temp under 75 degrees? I’ve done Everything they’ve ask and nothing is working! Overall the support needs and upgrade you can’t talk to anyone you have to wait until someone messages you in the app which seems like a long time.

Easy
Self explanatory system and hands free for the most part just sit and forget. Definitely something for beginners and the app walks you thru the steps. Has kinks like timing out but I rarely get that no real lagging on my end.
Hard to navigate
Although the calendar does an ok job of telling you what to go, finding and locating instructions is hard. I still can’t figure out how to dry when my calendar says I should flower. Very frustrating
Money pit
Tried 6 times to grow and never made it past the “tap root phase” a year ago. Wanted to try again but now the app won’t allow a new grow unless I subscribe. $200 for a year after dropping $500 for the unit that failed over and over again is a ripoff. I still have all the original “products” and had I known an ongoing subscription would be required to use this $500 piece of equipment I never would have purchased it. Anybody want a device that requires an annual $200 membership fee to use? I’ll sell it now for $200 and take the loss.

The app would not work properly for my first grow so the plant died.

Edit: I submitted this some time ago. The app was updated, not improved. Now the on time for “lights on”won’t change in the dropdown menu.

Bad Gateway
App in IOS won’t let me in due to now all of a sudden a “Bad Gateway (502)” error. My plant will die if I can’t change the water anymore. JUNK
cool idea, very buggy app
for the most part, my experience with heyabby has been positive. however, there has continually been one issue that makes me wish i’d purchased a grow tent and built my own setup instead.
quite frequently, the app logs me out or fails to open entirely. as i write this review, i’m unable to log in, and i get a “bad gateway (502)” error despite switching from WiFi to mobile data. because of this, im unable to control the grow tank, which is currently preventing me from doing a crucial task that is fundamental for the growth of my plant.
aside from that, the grow tank itself is quite small, and it can be difficult to fit any necessary equipment inside (such as humidifiers, dehumidifiers, fans, etc)
all in all, it’s a nice concept, but there are many flaws that will absolutely get in your way as a grower

Fix this app
This is the third time I have been logged out of the heyabby app like I love the machine but this customer service is beyond trash
Only one feature missing…
Would love to be able to invite others to manage the box and see environmental details.
Please rollback
Since the last update, the playback function no longer works—it freezes the entire app. The German translation is worse than Google Translate; I now understand less than I do in English. You also can’t change the language to English. Many so-called “improvements” have made things worse, unfortunately. Sometimes the product is called hey abby, then Hey abby, then hey Abby, or Hey Abby—it’s absurd. Unfortunately, this says it all about the app. :/

Just barely usable
Does what it needs to do for process automation… but any kind of “live help” assistance or guides are poorly designed, hard to follow, out of order or not on the right cycle of time… new updates break things and make it borderline if not entirely unusable.
Pretty weak
You would think that for as much of an integral part the app is to their products, it’d be a lot better. The discord server is cool, a bunch of people sharing the same frustrations and a handful of knowledgeable folks trying to help keep things afloat. This app really could be a lot better and for this to be worth it, it needs to improve or be overhauled entirely. There is word of an update with considerable improvements down the pipeline and I hope that’s true. I’ll wait for that to come out before I consider revising this review but until then it looks like I’m stuck with this junk
