About

Hiker is a clean, no-nonsense topographic map for the outdoors, built for hikers who lose signal the moment the trail gets interesting. Download the areas you're heading to while you still have Wi-Fi, then leave the network behind. Hiker keeps the map, the elevation contour lines, and the shaded terrain on your phone, so you always know where you are and what's around you. FEATURES • Offline maps — download any region and use it with zero connectivity • Elevation contour lines to read the terrain at a glance • Shaded relief (hillshade) for a natural sense of the landscape • Your live GPS position on the map • Fast, lightweight vector maps • No account, no ads, no tracking — your location never leaves your device Hiker is designed to stay simple and do one thing well: show you a great map when there's no signal. More is on the way. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

What's New in Hiker

1.1

July 28, 2026

Waymarked hiking, cycling and mountain-bike trails are now on the map, with their trail-number badges. Tap one for its length, ascent and descent, operator and website — and if several trails share a path, pick from the list and the map frames it for you. Coverage will be updated shortly. Also new: • Rain radar with a scrubbable two-hour timeline • A Transport map style alongside Outdoors • Offline downloads now save trails too, so tapping works with no signal • Downloaded regions can be outlined on the map • A clearer location marker showing the direction you are facing
