Great for Visualisations
This is a great app, love being able to create visualisations of walks and share this with others. Also great for discovering new walks and mountains. Takes a little bit to work out the interface and would be great to access all features online (PC) with visualisation.

Excellent app & best tech support!
I’m loving this app but most impressive was help from Denis from development who guided me through enabling compass which had me stuck with getting app to work. So grateful for the quick help and really happy to be using the app and to be able to label all of our peaks from the view of our new home.

Bug in app & got charged for free trial immediately!
Tried to use this app and it sucks. Got enabled compass and location notifications pop up that will not go away regardless of what you do. Complete joke. Reached out to developers will get you no where. I forgot that I had tried this app years ago and got the same thing. Obviously a bug in app that needs fixing. So frustrated and free trial will cost you $30 upfront… happened second I hit free trial. Extremely disappointed at the money grab.

My review
I don’t use this app often but when I do it’s awesome. I love using it when I travel and want to know something like “what’s that mountain” or how tall is it. Defiantly a worth while app👍

Je n’utilise plus que ça
Cette application est selon moi tout simplement la meilleure, les cartes sont ultra précises, très détaillée. C’est beaucoup plus facile de s’orienter de plus le fait de gagner des niveaux en faisant des sommets d’école, des cabanes des lacs. C’est une très bonne idée, ça nous pousse à justement aller chercher un peu plus loin que ce qu’on est capable de faire.

Achat à vie trop élevé
Bien évidemment, l’application est vraiment complète … mais comment justifier 179 € pour un achat à vie et son augmentation incessante. C’est à peu près le montant que j’ai payé pour un stockage « à vie » et en ligne de 2 TB que j’utilise lui tous les jours et pas une ou deux fois par mois. Tout travail doit être rémunéré, bien évidemment, mais là c’est vraiment beaucoup trop cher.

Deine App wird weiterhin offline funktionieren und du wirst weiterhin Verbesserungen erhalten - wir haben unglaublich viele von ihnen geplant! Dieses erste freie Abojahr, welches du in deinem Kommentar erwähnt hast, bezieht sich auf die mögliche Einführung von qualitativ hochwertigen Fotosimulationen für professionelle Fotographen für Sonnenaufgänge und Sonnenuntergänge. Diese Funktion wird möglicherweise mit Zusatzkosten verbunden sein. For fans of FatMap - the Dev Team skis
Ok so FatMap is the yard stick for back country tour planning and mapping tools and despite Strava owning the source code they have managed to butcher it. So what a relief to find PeakVisor , I originally came across it whilst on a beach in The Ghillie islands and was trying to find the name of a volcano on the horizon so used PeakVisors augmented reality horizon to identify the distant Smokey Mountain.
But it has developed so much further since that novelty (?) feature into a full blown tracking and planning app that I use for planning a safe route from summits couloirs gulleys and terrain. It doesn’t have the definition of FatMap but is way better than Strava . For EU users who can’t use CalTopo yet this is the best out there.
Try reaching out to the PeakVisor dev team about backlog features or roadmap and they respond, yeah a real human connection, that is rare these days (Strava don’t even bother to use AI they just ignore resolve and close your request/comment).
Even better these Devs sjinand snowboard!

This App is remarkable

The Peak Advisor App assists me greatly with respect to capturing accurate real time geolocation data in 3D. There are countless benefits provided by this App, and the Developers make, as and when needed, changes and enhancements to the App to improve it’s functionality and usefulness, In my opinion, you are never ever lost when you have access to this App

Too complicated
Very hard to just do the simplest thing like going from point A to Point B and following it. Can not figure it out yet
Expensive and over-commercialised
The free version is a waste of time. It takes ages to start up, is cluttered with advertising and can only be used in one location per day.
To practically use the App you have to move to the pro version which is ridiculously expensive compared to other peak-finder apps.

Sehr zufrieden aber dieses eine Problem…
Ich schreibe sonst nur sehr selten Rezensionen, doch jetzt darf es mal wieder dazu kommen. Ich halte mich auch kurz:
Im Großen und Ganzen bin ich sehr zufrieden mit der App und den enthaltenen Features! (Pro Member) - was mich jedoch extrem stört ist, dass man bei vielen Routen oder Touren, die man planen möchte nur bedingt voran kommt. Das Problem ist oft, dass Wege nur optisch übereinander liegen, aber im System nicht miteinander verbunden sind = keine Routenplanung möglich. Manchmal fehlen auch zwischen den Wegen nur einzelne Meter, was aber das gleiche Problem hervorruft… Dadurch kann ich (zumindest mit dieser App) einige Gebiete oder Berge nicht erkunden (man will ja nicht z.B. 3 verschiedene Routen planen, nur damit sie eigentlich eine einzelne Ganze ergeben und dann im Kopf die Daten zusammenrechnen) [Gebiete, in denen es mir vermehrt auffällt: Inntall / Chiemgauer Alpen]
Ich hoffe, dass sowas behoben werden kann und wird, weil es an sich schade um die App ist! Daher nur 3/5 Sternen
