Decent but flawed
Had the app for a week and was randomly banned for no reason or explanation of account removal.
Terrible app
I have been blocked from using hinge for absolutely no reason, no ability to appeal, and it’s been over 375 days. So,
I’ll make this as short as possible.
Literally made a new account today, I did ad a funny (non explicit, completely harmless) GIF in my profile pics, then I set up my whole account and everything.
Then I get a notification about 8 hours later that my account was banned.
No warning.
No reason.
I guess they just expect every user to read the pages of fine print and policies.
Yet scammers and men who impersonate women to take advantage of vulnerable people are live and well on this app. With or without subscription.
Now they will say “there’s a verification process” whatever.
I verified. I did everything right, but posted a gif in my profile and was banned.
I’m convinced these apps are for minor convenience, but mostly for data mining and to give scammers a platform to scam people.
Not to mention they make the process to report people who are ill intended, scammers, impersonators more difficult to report but somehow with zero activity other than setting up my account with 1 single gif along with 5 other real photos of myself, still banned now I have to appeal.
I am very skeptical of my appeal and will likely be kicked for good.
Hinge is infact, UN-HINGED.

Hinge is a fine dating app relative to others but it would be even better with a sexual orientation filter option!
Easy to work
I like how easy it is to work and you can actually communicate even if you don’t pay unlike most apps. The paid version is the best though. There seems to be a better selection of men too.

AI Moderation
Took my account down for being younger than 18, I am 20 in 2 months. Forced me to use a government ID to prove my age and probably will not accept it as I go by a different name than what is on there. Pathetic moderation system that seems to be AI.

This is definitely the best dating app for me and the best fit for most people my age actually. I’m 20 and wanted to try a dating app the first time and I’m so glad I’m starting (and hopefully ending!) with Hinge. Whether I find my person through this app or not, I enjoy the interface of Hinge for meeting new people so much! I did the one month subscription trial and feel like I have a lot of autonomy as a young woman with features like the “deal-breaker” age range and being able to pause my profile when I feel like I’m talking to too many people at once. It’s only been about a week and I’m so excited to see where this goes! Got a few dates planned already :)

Not worth the hype
For a start, it costs a phenomenal amount of money to send more than 5 likes a day, which is ridiculous, and i tried over 30 times to verify my pictures in different lightings, my own camera quality is good but it produces blurred results even if i have it stabilised, i keep being rejected despite using current and recent photos. Not worth it.

If you’re a guy, don’t even bother
Dating apps are horrible….been ghosted hundreds of times and been stood up on planned dates 8 times now….dating apps are enabling women to use real people for vanity, and I’m sick of it. Hinge is no exception
Something wrong with app
I don’t know what’s going on. Signed up a couple months ago. Subscribed. Likes function not working. Deleted it. Signed up again, still not working. Not much fun when you can’t send a link.
Great App, But the Rose System Is a Cash Grab
I think Hinge is one of the best, but lately most of the people I want to like are only in Standouts, and that forces me to buy Roses. For a paid subscription, that is excessive. Like every person in my feed is in stand outs and have to buy a rose.
Now my most raved about app
I’ve found my person and he’s absolutely amazing! The stick that dating apps get doesn’t make sense, they allow you to meet your person whom you may not have known they existed without the app. To think of how different my life would be if I didn’t match with him! 😊
Not seeing responses
Sometimes someone would respond to a chat, but Hinge won’t show it for some reason.
