Great for turning off WIFI radios

10 / 10 would recommend. Probably can do a lot more but it’s all I needed. T mobile you should just have had this on your life app …

Very Useful and Informative

Very useful app to use alongside the T-Mobile G4AR! Very happy with the “Reboot” shortcut action! I have this scheduled with an automation to trigger at a certain time once a month and it works great!

Great utility for T-mobile gateways

Really useful app. Great for setting up and checking T-mobile gateway connection. It needs one additional feature however, the ability to set an automatic reboot on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule. The ability to trigger a reboot on a connection loss would be a nice feature also.

Please add Beacon Interval and more Transmit Power control

Please add Beacon Interval control and more Transmit Power control, in order to reduce the amount of EMF to lowest possible.

For example, I want on 5GHz
Beacon Interval = 3000ms
Transmission Power: 8mW
(This is plenty for an apartment or small home)

And on 2.4 GHz
Beacon Interval: 2000ms
Transmit Power: 21mW

The 50% Transmit Power reduction is better than nothing, but more control is needed, preferably Advanced Control with a number input. I saw you had a slider. Why did you get rid of that? And there is nothing to control the constant pinging of the beacon interval. There needs to be a way to make that longer so that it's not constantly blipping.

new G5AR

This version will not work with the newly released G5AR T-Mobile gateway.

Great

This is a great app. T-Mobile should offer these options themselves. Pretty sad.

Tmobile KVD21

Reset your modern first. Afterwards connect your Apple, android device with Ethernet cable and turn off your WiFi and roaming mode off. Then simply turn off 2.5 and 5.0 ghz radio frequency off and click save.

Got strange error after setting change

I tried to change my WiFi settings (change one access point to WPA2 instead of WPA2/WPA3) but after making the change I was getting this error when connecting to the wifi. “This network is operating on Wi-Fi channels in use by several other nearby networks.
Restarting your wireless router may allow it to automatically choose the best channel to use, and may resolve this problem.”
Not sure how this happened. Could be user error (if so, I’m sorry). I did factory reset and didn’t try Hint again. Too bad, looks like a great app.

Way Better than the T-Life App

For once an app that works as soon as you enter a password. I understand that it is designed for other platforms as well but it would be nice if the user could put names to the unknown devices or even clarify further the named devices. I know AT&T allowed that on their internet when I was with them in the past.

Better than T-Life, but not a silver bullet.

The app has a bad UI bug on the page that you manage SSIDs. The page has a few settings that you can’t see because they are hidden when the page collapses. It you tap the encryption mode, the page expands to reveal toggles for 2.4 and 5G, as well as a “hidden” option. But you can’t toggle them because it only allows you to select from the dropdown menu.

Can’t disable 5ghz wifi

Why doesn’t the app let you disable 5ghz. I get the necessity for the warning but would be awesome to be able to turn it off after clicking OK.

Add temperature of gateway if you can

Great app for t-mobile gateway I was wondering if your able to add the current temperature of the gateway? Be nice to see how hot it gets before it starts to cut off WiFi than reconnect I added a fan to mine with a piece of air filter and it seems to stop turning itself off . Anyway you all made an amazing app!

Very Useful

What’s not to like? App works as it should and is very useful especially if you have T-Mobile Home Internet. I was able to find the best possible placement for my gateway. Thank you!

Barely helpful

Was really hoping this would actually expose some controls like port forwarding or DMZ, but about the only thing it will do is let you rename the wifi SSIDs. You can turn off the 2.4 ghz radio, but if you disable the 5ghz radio, it breaks some of the gateway functionality until you do a factory reset. Meh.

Great app for tech-savvy users

Not for most people but if you have a T-Mobile gateway and working knowledge of network management it’s exactly what you need. The interface is clean and intuitive. Thank you Zachary for doing this!

Not showing LTE stats

G4AR not showing LTE stats. App might need update.

Great App!

Adds necessary features for managing T-Mobile home internet gateways that should be provided by T-Mobile. Many thanks to the developer for creating, releasing, and maintaining this very helpful app.

This is what the T-Mobile app should look like!

Fantastic app for people that want to manage their T-Mobile gateway. T-Life app always says my Gateway isn’t connected even when it is, and makes you jump through unnecessary setup hoops, and doesn’t let you see any useful data. Big kudos to the developer. You need this if you have T-Mobile Home Internet.
