Learn historical highlights about the former Vancouver Barracks, oldest American military post in the Pacific Northwest and founded by the U.S. Army in 1849, and adjacent traditional downtown. Find out about the late 19th and early 20th century architecture along the way, and stories about the people who lived and worked in and rehabilitated the buildings.
