Ads and ads
You would have a great app. But your ads are getting to be too much. Your app might be the only one who’s ads take longer load than the actual content. It’s frustrating to watch so many ads and the same one over and over. Just so people who create the ad content, I hate your product even more when I see an ad for it. So you are wasting your time.

Great app!
I’m enjoying watching the newest season of Alone plus rewatching the older seasons. I don’t mind the commercials on the app as I can choose the 30 second version. I’m watching the older seasons on History Vault w no commercials. Great content and quality.

Great programming
Alone

My favorite show on TV is Alone. Due to work schedule I can never catch it live and the flexibility of using the app allows me to watch the next day and stay on top of the adventure.
Too many ads! Even for free
Man you get like 7 commercials every ten minutes. Great programming just too many ads!
Why so many commercials?
I like the ability to watch this great programming but the many commercials and same ones repeated over and over is making it much less enjoyable. Is there a way to have less commercials or none?

The app is good I subscribe through cable. The ads however, are served over and over again the same ads sometimes they don’t even sound like they’re in English. They’re all jumbled and they’re presented sometimes only minutes apart.

I love kicking back and expanding my mind with The History channel. There is such diversity I feel my minding expanding and relaxing at the same time. I just wish you would create a pay option to ditch the commercials - I would pay!!!

Mind blowing! Since the beginning of this series I was hooked. I was so intrigued and anxiously await each episode. I am so impressed by all the people involved in their knowledge and experience in such diverse fields.

It’s been a long time since I could call the History Channel the History Channel.
confusing
interacting with the commercial is so confusing. I have no idea what they are expecting you to do to interact other than waste time and get confused.
Worst streaming app I’ve ever used
I love history and all the History channel has to offer. However, the app itself is the worst streaming app and it’s not close. Sometimes the dialogue does not match the people’s mouths moving on the screen. The insane number of ads in a single episode (I can understand it to an extent). Sometimes I select the interactive ad experience, interact with it, and then it still ends up cutting to the 7 or 8 ads afterward. Pretty often I have to completely sign out of the app and turn my phone off because it tells me the episodes aren’t included in my tv subscription (they are included in my tv subscription), and once I sign back in, I have access to the episodes. Lastly, almost every time I pause an episode and go back to watch later, when I resume, I’m somehow 10 minutes earlier than where I left off. Love the content in the app, hate the streaming and performance of the app itself.

First off the fireTV app never works. Has a bug that says it’s not connected to WiFi when it is but every troubleshooting step doesn’t work so we try to screen mirror since the fire tv app doesn’t work and the iPhone app says turn off screen recording to keep playing. Terrible. Get it together. History has great shows but can’t even watch them.

Too many commercials …7 long commercials every 10 minutes or so
Not working
I was really enjoying this app but now since I moved to a new address it keeps asking me to sign in with TV provider when at my last address it never asked me this before, then when I sign in it gives me an error message or tells me my password is invalid even though I used the exact same password to log into my TV app and it worked it wouldn’t even let me update the password your app all of the sudden has a glitch Please Fix!

Limited content for streaming only customers
Lots of great content but not all episodes are available if you only stream your tv programming. You must have a “TV provider” like cable or satellite. Old school stuff. Also, the amount of commercial interruptions is insane. I would happily pay for a subscription with no commercials and access to all the programming.

IF you can get it to work
Downloaded the app onto 2 different smart tv’s in order to watch the WWII documentary with my son so that he can learn about it.
Watched the first episode, then the next day came back to watch another but the app wouldn’t load (just a black screen, no spinning wheel or anything).
First time it happened, I restarted the tv a couple times and it worked.
Now on a different tv, in a different location and can’t get it to load at all…
Tried unplugging the tv, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, tried uninstalling the app/unplugging the tv/reinstalling the app but same black screen.
I saw online that it’s an issue…History channel, how are you not able to get it together to have an app without glitches?? SO many other apps work just fine. Come on!
