PSA: Full blown scam mode
So Hiya has become the the data grabber. I am amending my “Going downhill…” review, that seems to be the current widespread complaint — to highlight the fact that the otherwise innocuous “allow paste” pop-up instead of the standard long-click’s pasting (the offending phone #), means you are *giving up permissions* to them, to globally access your clipboard…(!)
IMO, deleting the app until they resolve this questionable and regrettable coding decision — more, a data grab — is the only solution. It used to be a reliable and functional app, so I will check back to see if they’ve fixed it… if the temporary replacement app is likewise questionable. IIIIII updates later, and still scammy.

Up until the last two or three updates, this app has been useful and pretty user-friendly. Progressively getting worse, this latest iteration is completely useless. Doesn’t allow Cut & Paste of phone numbers, and frequently just locks up.

Doesn’t work
Paid for the “premium” service. Still getting 2-3 spam/robo-calls a day, except now when I decline the call it comes through three more times in rapid succession. No thanks.
The Best Blocker!
I have dealt with frustrating, spam calls for a long, long time! I tried to use my own carriers blocker which was effective 40% of the time. My frustration stemmed from the fact that a spammers call would be blocked from ringing my phone, however, they could still leave a voicemail message. Essentially that’s not fully blocking their call.
With Hiya, I have been able to block entire area codes and the spammers are unable to leave a voicemail message. So this has solved my problem completely!
It still is beyond me why my carrier could not do the same thing. You would think they could easily detect if a number is being spoofed and block it. But I think it comes more down to economics and them somehow making money off the spammers using their lines.
But either way, Hiya has completely solved my problem! Thanks to you and your incredible development team!

No copy and paste
You can't paste numbers in the app, you have to manually type them out, which wastes time
I seem to get more spam calls than ever after downloading

Installed for three day free trial. Within five hours received four spam calls in two hours and this didn’t do anything. I don’t have time to enter individual numbers in a list. Not worth it. Uninstalled same day and unsubscribed first day of three day free trial.
