The new version of this app is awesome. You have at the palm of your hand a care team ready to help you, helps you understand the lifestyle changes you need to achieve for a healthier life!
What a terrible experience
Terrible app, terrible program and even worse follow up. Signed up three months ago, pcp has changed twice. No communication either time. This program is either under funded or managed by someone/ team who has zero idea about what they are doing. Avoid at all costs!
Easy to Use, Lacks Key Features
The Hoag Compass app is easy to navigate, which is a plus, but it has some key limitations that impact its usefulness. First, I’m not receiving notifications when a chat message comes in, making it easy to miss important updates. Second, there isn’t a clear way to see when appointments have been scheduled on your behalf or what steps are next in your health plan.
I previously used the Forward app, which was much more robust and provided a seamless way to access my health information and stay on top of my care. In comparison, Hoag Compass feels less comprehensive. Additionally, the chat feature doesn’t allow users to share photos, which makes explaining certain symptoms more difficult.
With improvements to notifications, appointment visibility, and richer chat functionality, the app could better support patients in managing their health.

App feels like beta mode
That's really it. The virtual appointment feature doesn't work- sat waiting on it for an entire appointment slot. It doesn't work with Hoag MyChart. Glitchy and forces two factor every time you log in.
Best Virtual Care App and Service on the Market!
Finally a virtual care app with a team that truly cares. Dr. Pantig is an amazing doctor who takes the time to build a relationship with you. As my assigned doctor, I get to see her every time. It’s so easy to schedule same day appointments with her when I’m traveling and message with her when I have a question. Her care team always checks on me, schedules my lab visits and any specialist appointments I need. It’s only $50 a month to be a member and I feel like I get more than $50 worth of care and support. I highly recommend signing up for Compass!

A true partnership with your doctor
Prior to Compass, experience with primary care doctors made an active partnership very challenging. The interactions were very limited - typically confined to infrequent meetings and the occasional voice mail.
Compass enables a relationship with your doctor that is asynchronous, ongoing , personal and integrated into your daily life - using chat, video and face-to-face just like all your other important relationships.
Health is a true partnership - guidance, connectivity, continuity and quick response are key factors. Compass enables this with a terrific lead physician and support team.

Connecting with my physician is amazingly simple!
The Hoag team built a great little app here! Makes scheduling an appointment super easy and I'm able to get in to see Dr. Pantig usually the same week which has never been my experience with any Healthcare provider. The app also makes messaging with her very easy. She's very responsive, usually replying within the hour with answers to questions about lab results or anything else I might have questions about.

Great experience and great doctor
Compass is definitely different than other heath products that I’ve tried. It gives you virtual access but you get to build a relationship with your doc. And not just any doctor but a Hoag physician. It’s a Brand that I trust and know in the OC market. There is no rotating doctors and unknowns to deal with. I love the convenience of the app. It helps me stay on top of getting care. It reminds me of the things I could be doing to improve my health while making it easy to communicate with the care team. Whether during lunch or at car pool drop off for my little ones, I can actually fit in the visit into my day. The insights given are also based on what works for me and my schedule. Really great digital health experience.

It is designed to fail
Think before you subscribe. The concept is nothing but bogus. It's a forced subscription plan that makes you pay $50, plus your insurance and copay. So you aren’t really saving. The app itself lacks substance, and even communication with your doctor takes not days, but a whole month to receive a response. You'll also have to wait for a month to get an annual checkup. Clearly, they've copied features from other apps without successfully implementing anything. Not a single output from this app makes sense. Moreover, the notes provided after the session are printed out, which is laughable. What's the point of using this app for? Can't even think to digitize it or send it to an email to say the least?? Seriously, you'd be better off checking your blood pressure using your Apple Watch app and visiting the nearest urgent care center rather than using this app. I have high regards for Hoag and how they take care of patients, but this app is a complete failure. Calling your doctor directly is much faster than relying on this app.
