About
Hockey Shoot-out runs a shoot-out the way the rules describe it, for umpires, technical officials and team managers.
THE 8-SECOND TIMER
Tap anywhere the moment the whistle goes. The screen floods green and counts down in tenths; at exactly 8.000 seconds it flips red, beeps and buzzes. Stray touches are ignored while it runs. The count is taken off the clock, so it is right even if the phone locks mid-attempt.
THE WHOLE SHOOT-OUT
Team names and colours, players with shirt numbers (or a block of numbers in one tap), five named attackers and a goalkeeper per team, and the toss: who won it and whether they chose to attack or defend first. Then whose turn it is, who is attacking, who is keeping, the eight seconds, and one tap for Goal or No goal.
THE RULES, DONE FOR YOU
Five attempts each, alternating, decided early once the other side cannot catch up. Level after five each and it goes to sudden death: the order flips and each pair decides, set after set, until somebody wins. A retake stays on the record but neither scores nor uses up the turn. An attempt awarded as a penalty stroke records who took it and who defended it; its result is still the attempt's result. Attackers who have taken their turn in a set grey out until the next one.
THE RECORD
Winner, five dots per team per set, and every attempt in order with who took it and how. Share it or copy it as plain text for the match report. Undo the last attempt, correct an earlier one, or edit the squads without restarting.
